We've been tracking for a couple weeks…read moretrying to decide which weekend to make the drive out for a show; it's about an hour from our home. The Saturday showtimes seem to be 10am and 1:30pm. We were aiming for a puppet show last weekend but landed on a science show this weekend and I'm so glad we did! We got to see "Noreen the Science Queen" and engage in a live show with her. Not only was she amazing, but it was so wonderful to expose our girls to a woman in STEM and, more special for them, a Black woman in STEM. After the show, Noreen the Science Queen greeted the attendees in the lobby. She was open for pictures, and was selling both science kits for at home experiments and copies of her book. She is also available for birthday parties!! Now about the Cultural Arts Center, they currently have two exhibits: (1) there is an art show in the lobby in honor of Juneteenth and visitors get to vote on their favorite three (2) there is an exhibit of toys and games from the 1800s on the second floor. We didn't go up to check it out.

I attended a musical performance of the group Abilene on a Saturday night. I truly enjoyed everything about the experience. First, the theater is relatively small, and most seats are not too far from the stage. I had lucked out and was able to purchase a seat in the front row, which is 10 to 15 feet away from the stage. The performance by Abilene was simply spectacular. They describe themselves as a neo classical ensemble. I love the way they took some classical pieces by composers, such as Bach in Vivaldi, deconstructed them, reconstructed them, and made them their own. The peace, entitled Cascades was probably my favorite. It was inspired by the mountain range in the Pacific Northwest. The passionate playing near the end by both the cellist and the violinist was extraordinary. I also love the way they created a peaceful environment during their performance. They had a fog machine or smoke machine, as well as different colored lights used with each song. I also appreciated having David Crowe, the cultural arts coordinator, introduce the group, as well as tell us a little bit about the upcoming performances. While the tickets for next season don't go on sale until May, I'm ready to purchase tickets for more shows in 2023 and into 2024. Cheers

GREAT SUMMER CONCERT VENUE!…read more Have been here a few times to see concerts (Big Time Rush, Kesha) and have had really great experiencing. Parking is good and kept further away from the venue than other concert spaces - that help with getting out faster at the end. Unless you really want to see the artist up-close, I'd definitely opt for the lawn tickets. You still have a great view of the stage and the vibes are much more casual for eating/drinking/dancing. One major issue - drink prices are INSANE. Definitely be prepared to spend in that sense... that's the trade off for cheaper tickets than other concert venues I guess. Overall, definitely my favorite concert venue near ATL (that I've been to so far).

I called the venue a few days before because we needed to get some clarity on the ADA arrangements. The person on the phone was so thorough and helpful. I felt completely confident that I would have a great time. On the way there, clear signage told me exactly where to turn to get to my assigned lot. When I pulled in, I was greeted and told where to turn once I entered the driveway. I really appreciate the extra information. There were portapotties in the parking lot with hand washing stations. This was helpful because if you get there early enough for a good parking space, the gates to the venue are likely not open yet. We waited about 40 minutes due to our early arrival time. Once we got inside, a supervisor named Jennifer made our night. She was helpful to make sure that we got to the ADA section and even used the radio to let them know we were coming. They already had seating arranged for us when we got there a few moments later. Just perfect. We had popcorn and a brat while inside. They also have a souvenir cup that gets free refills on fountain drinks. There were many options from the bar, but it was way too warm outside for me to try that. Water was my choice instead. We were able to bring in a bottle each and refill it inside. After enjoying a show with great sound, views and lights, we ran into Jennifer again who helped us get back into the ADA parking section with ease. Awesome venue with incredible staff. Everyone was personable, proactive and attentive. I saw so many security personnel being helpful through the night. I also saw them help a distressed individual and it was so prompt and caring. This staff is top tier.

Parking was easy: $10 card only. There was an open bar on the ground floor with drinks and snacks. AND every seat was a good seat. This time I chose center balcony first row. I DO NOT recommend it. While the view is nice, there is a wooden railing across the front that obscures your view. So you have to lean forward to see the stage. I would choose the second row balcony, wing seats will be my first choice next time. The performer called the people upstairs down to sit in the empty seats and the view was even better from the floor. The acoustics were awesome and it was a great event.

No signage regarding parking available or nearby . Parked in a bank parking lot. Discovered later they had a parking lot (free w attendee voucher) under the venue. No parking signage visible as I said. When inside the festival volunteers were very helpful getting us to the seats. The venue is impressive! Multi-tiered balconies. Would have taken some pics if I hadn't left phone in the car. Can't imagine there's a bad seat in the house. We were about 15 rows back from the screen n everything was very comfortable, seats and sound. Enjoyed the knowledgeable interview of the filmmaker/subject of the film "Parting the Waters" after the screening. 4 stars because of lack of parking signage. 5 for the venue itself.
