History
Established in 1973.
Act One Pictures was originally founded as the film and video production division of Voice & Video, a highly respected leader for video equipment rentals in Southern California.
In 2006, Act One Pictures moved to it's current location on Vickers Street and soon after was bought by Kathleen St. Peter. Now managed by Robert Borer, a director and camera operator for KUSI-TV.
Act One Pictures, began to expand their equipment list for transfers to DVD by purchasing high end movie film projectors, professional DVD recorders, as well as HDV, DVCPRO, and other professional format video recorders/players.
Aot One Pictures award winning staff has over 60 years experience in entertainment, national television advertising, marketing, eduction and training. Their background includes national advertising agencies, major, hospitals and high-tech corporations.
Act One specializes in supporting the film industry in San Diego and has been a member of the San Diego Film Commission for many years.
Meet the Manager: Robert B.
Videographer, photographer and video editor for over 30 years. Past employment has been as director and camera operator for KUSI-TV in San Diego, The San Diego Chargers, Qualcomm Stadium, Popcorn Entertainment, and the Emmy Awards.
Other notable clients are the Discovery Channel, U.S. Dept of Homeland Security, San Diego County and City Offices, Port of San Diego, Kyocera, General Atomics, Sharp and Scripps Hospitals, NBC, CBS, ABC, KPBS, and many more.
Robert is also the captain of the Coastal Carvers, a semi-professional Sandsculpturing team.
