Our experience with Fossil Ridge Roofing & Construction LLC was extremely disappointing. From the…read morestart, communication and transparency were poor. The company managed insurance communications and often excluded us from approvals, denials, or documentation regarding what work was completed. After installation, the shingles were uneven and did not lay flat. When we raised concerns, they were largely ignored. No final walkthrough or inspection was conducted, and we were not provided itemized invoices or clear documentation. An independent inspection confirmed multiple defects, including improperly installed components requiring further repairs. Repairs attempted by Fossil Ridge were unclear, unsupervised, and undocumented. Payment was repeatedly requested despite unresolved issues. We had to hire another contractor to correct these defects. Based on our experience, future customers should be extremely cautious, manage insurance claims directly, request thorough documentation, and ensure inspections and walkthroughs are completed before making final payments. The lack of quality control, transparency, and accountability made this a costly and stressful experience

He's come by to inspect roofs and exteriors on homes I've purchased as well, and it's a lifesaver to have someone like him to work with. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!…read more They do not go through insurance and grossly overcharge compared to industry standards, therefore insurance won't pay their rates and you will be stuck with the bill. We even know the owners personally and they still screwed us over, so imagine what they would do to you if you don't know them.... This was our first experience with a home insurance claim for water damage and John, whom we attend church with, coached us not to contact our insurance until their job was done, pay them as soon as they removed the last piece of equipment, and submit the receipt to insurance and insurance would pay us back. He said we would maybe have to push a little and send a few emails, but 100% of their customers have had insurance pay in full. He lulled us into a false sense of security, and add on top of this our trust in him because of knowing him personally, we believed him. BIG MISTAKE. We paid him upfront over $12,000 cash and insurance said the job was only valued at a little over $8000 so that's all they reimbursed us for, putting us out $4500! My insurance tried contacting them multiple times to have them explain the excessive charges, they ignored their calls. After speaking to John myself, Jeff finally answered my adjusters call who explained some charges, and John contacted me after saying my insurance agreed to pay the rest of the bill. ANOTHER LIE! I later found out from my insurance that my adjuster never said that and he would still not be paying on the full amount because it was outrageous compared to what it should be. John admitted to me on the phone how they hide extra charges into the cost of a fan or else insurance wouldn't pay them, which is what makes it look expensive to insurance, yet they won't be honest with the insurance companies about what costs they are hiding hoping insurance will just pay it. But then when insurance doesn't pay it because to them it looks like they are charging 4x industry standards for the cost of a fan it just bites the homeowner instead! In the end, I requested a refund from Rainy Day the difference and John brushed me off telling me to hire a public adjuster to continue to fight my insurance. He offered to pay up to $500 for their fee, but we would still likely pay much more than that because of the size of our claim as a whole and we don't want to risk losing even more money when insurance will most likely still say no. This whole thing could have been avoided if we chose a company that went through insurance, learn from our mistake! I have many many more grievances with the way this company took advantage of us and hurt us not just financially, but emotionally and mentally as well, but my point is DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Also, these good reviews are padded with people they know or who have worked for them. The review with the dishwasher leak and pictures is the owners own kitchen, and he didn't even pay a dime for it because he told me his business ate the cost of his repairs. Guess my $4500 will go to his company funds for his next remodel......

We agreed on a start date, a Friday. As the day approached, the forecast was for rain that day. I called the company and requested a start of one day earlier. They were able to accommodate me and the 6 man crew and the supplies showed up bright and early that morning. The house was draped in netting to catch the debris. Old roof off; new roof on. Fast, Meticulous, and Fair Pricing…read more In preparation for selling my home, I obtained quotes from three roofing companies in the area to repair damage to my garage ceiling from a neglected minor roof leak. SCI Roofing & Remodeling provided the best quote and completed the work ahead of the deadline with no compromise in quality. The first quote came from a company that urged me to file a claim with my homeowner's insurance without even looking at the damage! Their unethical behavior ruled them out for me. The second quote was based on drone photos; he immediately identified the problem, and he also proposed filing a claim based not only the drone photos but also meteorological data. The problem is that my roof is only 3 years old; the damage in the photos was small marks that showed no penetration; and even if I chose not to file a claim on the entire roof, he proposed to repair the leak by reconstructing a large part of the roof around the leak. I am sure that this would have been an excellent and thorough repair, but it was far beyond my budget. I went with SCI Roofing & Remodeling because they were the only quote that did not try to exaggerate the damage and they proposed a very targeted repair resulting in a quote that was less than half the highest quote. In addition, they offered to include many interior renovation repairs to optimize the appearance of my house for showing. Finally, not only did they propose a reasonably sized project and deliver excellent quality, but they also completed everything about half a day early! For these reasons, I am grateful that I found this company and am happy to recommend them to others because they are one of the few companies that provide honest, courteous, and skilled work for a fair price.
