I was visiting my Mom when she told me told me her Macbook had a problem with its trackpad. I called another computer business that I had seen on the diamond, and they said they didn't repair Macs. They also told me no one in the area worked on them. I remembered seeing another 'computer' sign nearby, and did a Google search and called ACS. They were very professional and polite on the phone and said they absolutely worked on Macs. I took the computer in, and when I walked in the door, saw the business used Macs themselves. SWEET! The staff as polite and said they would do a diagnostic and call me with an estimate. A few hours later, they said the computer would probably need a new trackpad and a battery (it had started to expand). They gave me a very reasonable quote. A few days later when they called to say the computer was ready, they told me that after replacing the battery, there was no need to replace the trackpad - it just needed reset. The total cost for repair went from about $150 to $50. What business does this? There would have been no way for me to know if the trackpad was faulty or not and was fully expecting to pay to have it replaced. In an era of businesses trying to generate as much revenue as possible, ACS recognizes generating business is better done by creating loyal customers.
