The reviews that I saw were positive & we were game to try someplace different. Wow! This little gem is a fantastic find! It was quiet & casual (there was no event or special performance on this evening), with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The background music was loud enough that it could be heard, but I didn't have to speak up at all & at no point could I not hear what my friend was saying. It's a small thing, but is uncommon in restaurants & especially pub-style establishments, and it was a noticeable quality. Our waitress was also lovely. She was very polite & friendly, checked in on us, but gave us space. She was fantastic. The food was done very well. Not fancy or presumptuous, but what I experienced was delicious & totally hit the spot. The yam fries also seemed baked, as opposed to deep fried, and were YUM! My friend had the Ukrainian dinner & said the cabbage rolls were really good (I have no opinion, cabbage rolls aren't my thing). I had a sandwich which had crispy chicken, ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, & tomato (had the name "Bob" in it I think), and I chose to swap out BBQ sauce for the Buffalo sauce and DAMN that was delicious! I will DEFINITELY come back. There's also Skeeball in the lobby along with some other arcade style games, so it would make a great first date spot IMO :)

I ordered the Blue Cheese Filet, and it was cooked to absolute perfection! Tender, flavorful, and exactly how a great steak should be prepared. The garlic mashed potatoes were amazing, and the green beans and carrots were equally delicious. I paired my meal with a glass of Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon, which complemented the steak beautifully. The service was outstanding! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure our entire group had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, lively and welcoming while still being comfortable enough to enjoy a relaxing dinner. One recommendation: Definitely make reservations! This is a very popular, busy restaurant, and after dining here, I can certainly understand why. Excellent food, exceptional service, and a wonderful atmosphere. The Keg in Grande Prairie absolutely delivered. I would gladly return and highly recommend it!

The steak was so delicious, and honestly if I wasn't stuffed probably would have had seconds. Mind you I was famished after a sauna/ massage at the spa, but nevertheless the food was amazing. Yes, yes, yes, I did try the pasta as well, it was just as amazing, however the steak was worth every penny. I'm even considering a round 2 rightnow while typing up this review. Happy dining, it's a quiet spot; staff are very nice and fast. Service was amazing, they also have a buffet breakfast if you stay in the hotel (and get the room and breakfast).

We arrived just after 6:30 and were told it was a 45 min wait but if we wanted to sit at the bar they could seat us right away. We decided to sit at the bar. Once seated the bartender told us food was taking around 45 mins. We ordered our meals right away, it was around 6:40 when we ordered. We were then told it would be atleast another 30 mins. There was no apology or offer to fix the situation. I was told I was wrong and we didn't order till 7:22. We got our drink bill and left. We will not being going back!
