Here's why I say all of those glowing things: This room is tall, but small in square feet. There are bookshelves that align the walls. They are covered in books that face backwards, so the pages soak in the sound. It's a noise canceling solution that was just too dang obvious for anyone else to figure out. At times, the ticket prices might be steep, but it's worth it. It means you get to see one of your favorite acts in an intimate venue with people that care. Think about it... you won't have to deal with the drunk dude at the bar talking about who knows what, while your trying to enjoy a show. so good.

I'm rambling because it's hard to convey the excitement I have for this place. It's the type of room that you can go to and the artist doesn't even have to be mic'd up for it to sound amazing. From what I understand a bar area is coming and there are more renovations to be done in the space but really the aesthetics don't matter when it comes to this place. The facility straddles a ridge with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. With parking for 100+ cars and hookups for 8-10 RVs, they are well equipped for crowds. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The bandstand in the pavilion is an excellent spot for live music and mingling with friends. The grass area between the pavilion and shop are so inviting and a perfect place to relax in the sun while listening to music. The true star of the show is the hospitality shown by Tim. As they continue to make improvements it will just get better and better! If you're looking for the perfect spot for a wedding, corporate retreat or reunion, you'll want to consider this awesome venue. Can't wait to see what the next few years holds in store for Whiskey Hill Lynchburg!

I am betting the elevated seating, with the angle might offer a better view than even much of the floor level but I'm not positive. The sound was great everywhere in the venue from what I could tell. There's plenty of seating under the awning, and a large lawn where vendors can sit up. There were bartenders available for your drinking pleasure, and food trucks on site. There's also some very unique artwork on the premises that are great conversation starters. I can't wait to see what the surrounding area is going to look like when the construction is complete. You must attend at least one event here to appreciate this state of the art venue. Once you do, you will understand and want to return again and again.
