My hair was a mess, I had super dark roots, and and orange tint. I wanted it to be an icy blonde. She completely transformed it quick and perfectly! I highly recommend! Little back story - I moved from DC to Knoxville, and I really had a time of finding a good hair stylist who was intuitive (b/c I have no idea what I am doing with my hair), asks the right questions (esp how much maintenance I'm willing to do), takes the time to explain to me how to make my blow out or styling last (again - no idea what I'm doing), and is engaging and personable. Scarlet checks every one of those boxes!! She is skilled with those scissors, with that razor-edging thingy, and with any range of color you want in your hair! She's cut me short, gave me bangs, transformed me into a redhead, transformed me back to my natural color with a range of low lights, and -- as of today! -- added some really great rainbow colors!! I have never trusted a stylist so emphatically to do anything or take any of their suggestions, because I know it always comes out great! If you haven't found 'The One' who makes you feel like a million bucks every time you leave the salon chair, or every time you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, then you need to make an appointment with Scarlet. Life is too short for bad hair.

She also has thin, fine hair and knew what to do with my tired, lifeless head of hair. She fully understood how to cut/layer and style my hair to add fullness. My blonde was perfectly cool and ashy with a lowlight to add dimension but grow out naturally. I truly feel like she took her time and knew exactly what to do and why based upon my specific needs/wants. The pricing was told to me up front after my consultation, which is awesome. In general, it was a relaxing adventure and I am walking away with fabulous hair and a lot more confidence. I will be back.

I had soft wax for the suprapubic area and then chocolate hard wax for everything else. As a result, it was more painful than it needed to be (the slow initial pull itself and also the hot application of the wax itself) and there were bits of hair around the anus that was left behind (noticed it the next day). From this I've learned to call ahead of time and figure out how the particular salon does its waxing.
