I had no problem getting an appointment (John schedules all his appointments with an online scheduling site) and was very happy with my hair cut. So happy that I purchased another groupon to go back when I needed my hair cut again. I made an appointment for my next hair cut and was looking forward to it. On the day I was to go in, John sent me a text canceling due to a family emergency and asked when I would have availability another time that week. I totally understand about unexpected things happening and asked to reschedule for later that week. John did not get back to me at all that week or the next so I went ahead and made an appointment through the website (for a few more weeks out because his availability is quite limited). When John did finally text me offering an appointment for a time I was unavailable, he acknowledged that I had already rescheduled and we agreed that I would come in on that date). That day was yesterday. I arrived for my scheduled appointment to the studios where John has his salon. The owner greeted me and when I told her I had an appointment she was surprised as John was not in and she did not expect him to come in. She texted and called him but he did not reply. I waited for 20 minutes. The owner explained that John had taken a full time job and was only doing hair a few days a week. When I grew tired of waiting, I told the owner to let John know that he had lost a client. John has not contacted me to apologize or explain. I am now trying to get a refund from groupon. As talented as John is, I refuse to give someone my business who is so disrespectful and doesn't value his clients. It is unfortunate, as I have been looking for a long term stylist and really thought John was it. I guess I will have to keep looking for someone who will actually appreciate my business.
