The contracted company informed us that our delivery wouldn't arrive until after Christmas, leaving us with only five days' worth of clothing and essentials for a move to New Jersey. This delay ultimately stretched to 2.5 weeks, with our belongings arriving on New Year's Eve! Michael initially offered to reimburse us for interim purchases, like an inflatable bed and extra clothing, but later denied making this offer. When we asked for partial compensation (around $600), he became unprofessional, dismissing our concerns and blaming my wife for "overreacting." He even went so far as to tell her she "needs to learn to be a nicer person." This was especially hurtful as my wife is recovering from breast cancer and was already under tremendous stress. Instead of being compassionate, Michael took advantage of us during a vulnerable time. His lack of empathy and refusal to take accountability was appalling. The contracted company, on the other hand, was professional and honest--we wish we had booked through them directly. Their name is North American Van Lines. Aces' lack of transparency and poor communication caused significant stress and financial inconvenience during an already difficult time. Our driver from North American couldn't believe the way we were treated by the OWNER of this company. Our driver refused to take a tip from us due to how horribly we were treated and recommended we reach out to his company's customer service department. We are a retired military family that just used this company to move from Yucca Valley to the Inland Empire. EXCELLENT to work with! From initial scheduling and walk through to flexibility with move day (took belongings to two different locations), they define professionalism. We've moved a dozen times in 25 years and this company provided one of the most positive experiences we've ever had. The owner is actively involved in all details and the movers are tireless and upbeat....so impressive! We highly recommend this moving company! I had to return to amend this review. I stand by the professionalism and cost of this company as well as the movers themselves. However, we had entire home moved into storage unit for long term (moved in to care for mom), and had strongly requested a path through unit. Movers disagreed and shoved all in (literally 9 feet high) and there was 5x10 left when finished. We can't access anything. It's an absolute nightmare and I have no idea how we are going to figure out how to move stuff to make it functional. I just moved into my new place yesterday and couldn't be happier with my moving experience. I needed movers for a local upstairs apartment move. I was given a prompt response when I requested a quote through their website and found it easy to schedule my move. It was also a plus that I could pay by credit card. The movers arrived right at the time they told me that day and were both very professional. You could tell they knew what they were doing and they were extremely efficient. The move itself only took a little over 2 hours even with taking apart and reassembling my furniture. My new apartment has a sharp corner as you come in but they were able to perform a small miracle in maneuvering my sofa up and into my living room. We moved from Milwaukee to Joshua Tree and realized that the 3 of us were in no shape to unload a 26ft truck filled to the rim!
