I have been buying here for many years but it's time to find a different nursery. Came in during…read morethe week and the staff to guest ratio was at least 5 staff to each customer...I wanted a tree that was too heavy for me to lift at roughly 70 pounds and literally none of the staff walking around offered to help. When I asked for help locating the tree, I was pointed to the other side of the nursery, but no thought to if I might either need help locating the trees or help lifting the container.

Stradler Nurseries came to plant trees on the border between my HOA (Armistead Park) and the HOA next door (Fairfax Landing). As I walked home from dropping my kids off at school at about 9:30am yesterday, I saw a Stradler employee with his coworker picking fruit off my tree and pocketing them IN BROAD DAYLIGHT! Keep in mind that I have a sign saying not to pick because it is stealing. As I approached, they quickly walked away so I could not talk to them, but one of the employees came back the next day with his boss so I confronted him then. After confirming they work for Stradler Nurseries, the employee suddenly said he couldn't speak English. Finally, the employee admitted he was at my house but he was "just looking at the fruit" but not stealing them. The boss repremanded his employee but took no other action. But then why did he gave giant orange fruit in his hands as he walked away?? I'm very disappointed in this company.

This is a very special place, It specializes in azaleas and rhododendrons. The owner grows his…read moreown and has over 350 named varieties of both evergreen and deciduous azaleas, including a number of very rare varieties you don't find elsewhere. In addition, he breeds his own azaleas by crossing others, and sells these unnamed one-of-a-kind varieties, some of which are absolutely stunning. The price of the azaleas is about half of what you pay in the main nurseries in the area (or even less). The owner is very knowledgable and pleasant -- he does it as a labor of love. It is very close to Butler's Orchards and is only open on weekends (check the website for hours). I stumbled on their website while trying to find a place o buy azaleas in the area, now that Benkhe's hass gone bankrupt. If you are planning to buy an azalea or rhododendron, I strongly suggest you make a trip to this place.

On top of that the lady was incredibly rude on the phone and quickly shut me down when I tried to order roses saying they can't help me. This kind of service is unacceptable, look for another florist not this one.
