I needed a new roof on my house because of a severe leak that had finally gotten to a point where it could not be repaired. I called Ace Roofing as well as one other roofer and Ace Roofing's quote was $1000 less than the other company. Ace Roofing would also cover the cost of the building permit, which the other company would not. I was very worried about the cost of the job, but Ted made sure to answer all of my questions and he even came out a second time after the initial estimate to evaluate the decking for the roof as the first roofer I had gotten an estimate from said the majority would need to be replaced, which would be an additional fee on top of the estimate. Ted took a look and said that only one or two pieces would need to be replaced and it would only cost around $100 to replace the decking, which was a relief considering the other roofer quoted me a minimum of $500 for the decking. I was also concerned because when I had a handyman previously try to patch the leak I was told that whoever originally did my roof had put three layers of shingles on it, when the most you are ever supposed to do is two. When Ted first came out he quoted me based on two layers of shingles on the existing roof. I had brought up to him that I thought my roof had three layers (based on what the handyman had told me) and he said that if it did end up having three layers it would not increase the cost. Yes, there were three layers and yes, Ted was true to his word. I highly recommend Ace Roofing. I now have a beautiful new roof that doesn't leak and I got a great deal too! These guys are the best. I'm a Handyman by trade and I've installed a few roofs over the years and these guys did everything right. The first roof I had put on 17 years ago by another company had it torn off by noon and two guys showed up the next day to shingle. Ace had like 8 guys shingling and it took them two days, not because they're slow, but because they paid attention to detail and didn't rush the job. Stand by their work (if I ever had a concern or a question about any of their work, they always addressed it and took care of it immediately if necessary, without a problem), 5. Extremely Fair and Affordable (Price for me with Ace Roofing was always the best around, and Ted always treated me fairly and was very upfront regarding any costs. With one job, a stray shingle that was removed and discarded from the roof accidentally scraped one of my window screens on the way down, which can happen with any roofing tear-off. Ace Roofing just replaced our roof. We requested a quote by e-mail and Ted responding very quickly, came out and inspected everything and then scheduled a time to go over the entire proposal. Ted was a pleasure to work with and my wife and I were both quickly convinced that Ace was the company to hire. Ted scheduled the start of work within a few days after we accepted the proposal and was very good at communicating with us throughout the project, especially when weather forced a day's deferral.
