Over the last several years, we planned to relocate, and put quite a few improvements/repairs into…read morethe old house, and after moving to Tucson, decided to make some upgrades to the kitchen, including replacing the countertops. We've dealt with a lot of contractors - flooring, tile, electrical, handymen, and I have to say our experience with Deluxe Granite was by far the best experience of all these different projects. We are absolutely thrilled with every aspect of our experience! First of all, just the planning and communication aspects were fantastic! Rene was great to work with. So was Sharon, handling the office administration, she was easy to work with too. Rene responded quickly, came out to measure, showed us some options, and communicated clearly about the process, the timeline, etc. We ended up going with granite, although we weren't sure initially if it would be quartz or granite, and we're really glad we went with granite. She showed us a photo of the slab, and that was good enough for us, we chose not to look at it in the showroom, and when it did arrive and got installed, it was completely true to the picture, so we were quite happy with the way it looked. The entire process took very little of our time. I could not believe how quickly both the initial consultation with Rene and measuring the template (thank you, Nick!) took, let alone the actual installation (removal of existing and installation of new countertop). Leif and his assistant (sorry I didn't remember his name) did an excellent job. They showed up on time, got to work, tore down the old countertop, installed the new one, it seemed like in no time we were looking squarely at our beautiful new countertops! Leif was really personable and highly skilled, and communicated clearly about care and maintenance. This company is doing something right. They must have figured out a great business model. Consult, select, measure, take template, order slab, tear down and install. No problem. Well done. We did get other bids before choosing Deluxe Granite and some of them it seemed like it would take weeks or months, or we wouldn't get what we really wanted, or there was some kind of compromise somewhere. Not true for Deluxe Granite. We were happy with selection, material, timing, communication, installation, and cost! We are grateful for Deluxe Granite's work. Couldn't be happier. They even have excellent contacts for tile and handyman work. In fact we are having the tile work start tomorrow for the backsplash, which will look great with the new countertop! This was the best experience with any type of home installation or repair project we've had. I would HIGHLY recommend Deluxe Granite to anyone in the Tucson area.

They were very accommodating with every request and even offered their handyman's service to do some carpentry work that was needed before the countertop install. I would highly recommend Deluxe Granite.

    Daniel’s Cabinetry - Cabinet gap

    Daniel’s Cabinetry

I would like to warn anyone who hires Daniel's Cabinetry LLC. Daniel appears to be a sweet…read moreChristian man, so I decided to hire him to redo my kitchen. I've sent him pictures of how I wanted it to look and he told me he could do it. When I received the contract, his price was a little high, but I decided to do it because he appeared to be a nice person. A few weeks after he decided to tell me that the countertops were not included so I looked at the contract and sure enough I should've read it better. At first I was upset but it was my fault to not notice. He should've known to ask me about the counters at the signing of the contract, because who gets a kitchen redone without countertops? I even sent him pictures beforehand of how I wanted my countertops to look and he said that he could do it! But never once mentioned, oh, by the way, your countertops are not included in this contract. But my bad, so I took responsibility and paid him an extra $2,848 for the countertops. Then demolition happened and a month later he brings the cabinets to install. Yep! He left me without a kitchen that long!! But I tried to be patient. Everything seemed to be going good until he installed a cabinet that would hold all my baking sheets and cutting boards. He did not measure correctly so when the handles on the drawers and cabinets got installed, you couldn't open that cabinet. So then I told him well maybe you should just cut a little off on each side and that should work. He only cut one side and cut a little too much off so you could see a gap so he covered it up with a slim piece of wood. Oh well I could live with because you could hardly tell! BUT THEN he cuts the countertop a little too much on one side, so he then cut the other side to match it (see pic with gap by sink). He decided to fill in the gaps with caulking so I wouldn't notice, if you look at the pictures, you'll see what a terrible job he did with the caulking in white. I called him out on it and he said he will change the color to clear. Well, he didn't takeoff all the white caulking, and proceeded to put the clear over the specs of white as you can see in the picture. Now my kitchen sink always looks dirty because of the sloppy caulking he did. I explained to him that I wanted it redone but now he doesn't communicate with me anymore. He also left me with two warped cabinet doors to my pantry and he told me that they have a warranty and if they didn't straighten out in two weeks he would replace them. They are still warped and I have to live with that now because he hasn't called me in over two months. He says he is a man of integrity, but a man of integrity would've gone back to fix the situation. There were a lot of other things that I let go and brought it up to him but he doesn't seem to care. For one I wanted a boxed hood vent (again I provided him a pic and it is completely different and then he measured one of the flip up cabinets to fit my microwave so would be hidden but then he didn't measure right so now it doesn't fit. Other than that I love the rest of his work. I told him there was only two things to complete the job and that was change out the warped cabinet doors and redo the caulking but he flaked out. I reported him to the BBB Better Business Bureau and they've attempted to to call him several times but he does not return their calls. I wish I could've added more pictures but this is all it would allow me to. Thank you for reading!!
