I've gotten a new debit card here before as well as a couple cashier's checks. Every experience has been quick, efficient, and friendly. The employee's are personable and eager to strike up conversation while they are working on what you need. The branch is very clean and organized, nothing has ever appeared in disarray. Also, there's little to no wait even at lunch time! Coming from a bank manager at a competitor, they blow me away every time!

Poor customer service with an attitude…read more Google and online address incorrectly shows Firstfield Road. After 25 minutes of searching I found the bank off of Quince Orchard Road. I arrived at the locked front door just after closing at 4:03pm, but noticed the drive-through was open so I drove up. The teller informed me I would have to come inside to cash the M & T Bank check because they want to fingerprint me, so come back tomorrow. Apparently, it's easier to vote than to cash a check at the bank who provided it. When I asked the manager if there was any way they can help me so I can pay my rent (due yesterday, Sunday the 25th when the bank was closed) she was visibly frustrated with my persistence and told me to come back tomorrow, then she shoo'd me away with "Have a good day sir!" You never know what a person is going through, but if you're willing to listen and serve a customer you can potentially make a customer's day or make a customer for life. They'll never know that, here at the end of October my September paycheck has yet to come through, so a friend offered to help out... but M & T Bank really doesn't care... their only concern is losing 5 minutes of their time by opening the door for me. In 40 years I've had just one other poor banking experience. Currently I have accounts with 3 banks that listen to their customers and provide excellent service. M & T Bank has made my "naughty" list and will never receive my money.

He also helped me save money by bundling some of my plans and event sent me to a different insurance company when he knew the motorcycle I wanted to insure would be really expensive through him. The staff refuse to help you in any form or even listen to you. The technology doesn't work at all…read moreand its unable to problem solve and staff won't help, they'll refer you back to the machines that don't work before you even get to explain the issue. The banking is all done through online transactions using remote tele-service, though they usually have 2 or 3 staff members available at a physical location. But it's futile because they have no motivation and bad attitudes. They're plenty nice but they don't follow through. They rely on assuming what you need rather than genuinely trying to help. Its the worst banking experience that I've had. It also took me months to get my money back. They truly couldn't care less. They also never responded to any of my emails. I went to this bank as a result of low fees and good reviews. I thought tele banking was a good idea until I tried it. I understand that they're young and haven't got the skills yet but the fact is they showed no motivation in attempting to provide any help and in fact they even tried their best to get rid of people as fast as they could. Our money is their job. Just very shocked by their carelessness. And even more shocked that they are still around. If it wasn't for their free checking accounts, I don't think they would be able to last without training staff.

We had to ask multiple times for mistakes to be fixed. The staff appear to be overwhelmed with too much work or else very unhappy in their jobs. I tried to avoid dealing with Pete Ryan. He seemed either unconcerned with doing things properly or else is forgetful (not sure which). He makes a lot of jokes when you're asking about things that are not funny. His staff seem to have to clean up after him.
