A website used my stored debit card info to make unauthorized transactions for $250 several months after I last used the web site. The merchant went out of businesses and is impossible to contact. First Community Credit Union sided with them because, in their words "You did business with the merchant in the past, so it's not fraud if they use your debit card in the future, with or without your consent." This was not a recurring subscription or anything of that nature. It was pay for a product one time, end of transaction. I provided overwhelming evidence that this company committed fraud against me and pages of other victims and all they could say was "sorry." They would not let me speak to their fraud department or any higher ups. I promptly closed my account and visited the Bank of America on 6th street and asked if I could speak directly with their fraud department. They gave me the phone number to their fraud team with no questions asked. So, I signed up with them and have been happy so far. Avoid this credit union like the plague.

Why would they have to charge a fee when they hold the account of the person who wrote the check? That's crazy! I did feel sorry for the teller because the lady right ahead of us had a problem with WF policy also. Corporate WF might need to review some of their policies.

It was just another scam. I have been with Wells Fargo for 25 years and once again they have been very professional and of great service!
