Upstate Solution couldn't do the bathtub faucet, because they don't do tile work. My house is an older house with a cast iron tub. I only used the tub for showers, and was looking at having to have the wall opened, then calling a plumber to fix the leak, some one back in to replace the tile work. After that I was then going to find someone to come in, and resurface or attempt to make the bathtub look better. My decision was to just find one company that could do everything at once. Some of the services provided by some of the companies are misleading, until you talk to them. Things they say they can do, they don't. I looked on Google for places with at least 5 star ratings and good reviews. I called several places, that gave me the impression that they weren't interested. One man still had his company listed, but told me that he no longer did that kind of work, another man was going to have knee surgery, and suggested that I wait until after his recovery. Another man suggested that I give his friend a call(he wasn't listed or licensed) that was not even happening. I decided to call Palmetto Bath to discuss getting my bathtub removed and a walk in shower installed. I called and scheduled a free consultation and the rest is history. Will and Jason did an awesome job installing my shower, answering questions and explaining what they were doing. These two work well together, and it was a pleasure meeting them. I was skeptical as they are the only contractors Lumber Liquidators refers to but I can understand why they maintain that referral relationship: SW Contractors are top notch. Our job was an involved one as we were ripping out tile and carpet throughout our downstairs and putting down hardwood in the kitchen, living, two closets, hallway, bathroom and entryway. Steve came to the house and was able to give a detailed (and pretty competitive) quote right then and there. We had some tight scheduling issues as I wanted the rest of the family out of the house for the install. Laura, the business/office manager, worked with me to get our project scheduled on exactly the days I needed. The crew of three arrived and immediately got to work. By mid-morning, they already had ALL the demo done! Jose, William and Eduardo were fast and meticulous - even taking extra (unexpected) steps to minimize the mess (which, if you've ever removed tile, you know there is a LOT of mess!) They hauled away all of their waste when they were done, too and even kept their work area neat between project days- something I didn't expect but really appreciated. I LOVE my new floor. We went with the taller baseboards as Steve recommended and the finished product is gorgeous, contemporary and SO clean! Laura was even helpful in getting some questions answered for me after the install was finished and emphasized that they would be more than happy to come take a look at anything should I have any concerns.

Paul was hired to do a tub replacement, tile replacement on the 3 walls around the tub and on the…read morefloor of the "hall" bathroom. He was very easy to work with and accomodated my schedule. Once the existing tub and tile were removed, a constant leak from 2 toilets had destroyed the subfloor and had damaged the joists. Questionable plumbing tactics on the adjacent bathroom's shower were exposed when the walls in the hall bathroom were removed. Of course, all this damage and unexpected repair added to the cost. However, I never doubted his ability to repair and fix all the issues before bringing in the new stuff. He even laid down mesh and a base before laying the new floor. I am so pleased with his attention to detail and knowledge with how to fix problems. With his plumber's license, he had all the know-how to install the new fixtures. The tile installation is superb. The color graduations flow well. The pattern on the floor is square. Then he fixed sheetrock issues, installed a new countertop for the sink and installed a new door. My remodel is solid and fixed problems I was unaware of plus it looks beautiful. He was a great choice.
