Caveat Emptor is all I can say. I purchased a Forward Extending Scope Rail (7.25"/SS) for my Ruger Mini-14(black composite stock with dull stainless finish). Paid $90. And $13 shipping. Looked at a lot from different manufacturers with prices ranging from $25- over$100. After reading through the product descriptions on their website and looking at all the photos I decided to spend a little more for what I thought would be a quality product that matched the finish on my rifle. What a disappointment. The rail shipped in a plastic sleeve with instructions and an Allen wrench which left black marks on the "stainless steel" finish that looks like it was applied with a can of spray paint and didn't look anything like the photo on the website, more like a shiny chrome finish. Product description said it was "windage adjustable" which apparently is an excuse for the sloppy fit because it was nearly impossible to center it on the receiver and the attachment screws were very cheap and didn't match the rail finish. I decided to return it and get a refund but then discovered, after reading the fine print, I had to contact the company and get their approval to be able to do so and oh, by the way, there's a 20% restocking fee and it can't have any marks on it or we won't accept it. So, let's see that's $18 restock and $13 shipping, $31 to return a $90 item and be back to square one. Decided to eat the cost and learn a hard lesson. Bottom line is I didn't do my due diligence so totally on me. Don't make the same mistake... read more
