I'll start by saying that the food I did get was delicious! However, I tried calling before I drove there and no one ever answered. I figured they were busy or closed. Google said they were open so I took a chance. They were! There wasn't 1 other customer in there and 2 employees sitting behind a station of warmed food in bins. I walked up and they asked if I'd like to order and I said yes. Then they pointed to a kiosk behind me and told me to order on that. Ok. Now... I specifically went there because I wanted to try the fufu and peanut soup as advertised on their menus online. When I was at the kiosk neither were an option, so I ordered a bunch of other stuff and asked for the 2 sauces on the side. Then I walked back to the counter and watched them put my food together. They poured both sauces all over everything. They also had sweet potatoes that I saw and asked if I could have some... since they were listed on the kiosk options. The guy went to the kiosk to try to order it for me and realized they were - indeed - not a choice. So he rang me up separately at the front register (why couldn't we just do it that way to begin with??) I spent $30 on food I didn't really intend to get - but again - it was delicious! I got the chicken, jolof rice, beans and rice, coleslaw, plantains, carrots, sweet potatoes, and two sauces: peanut and a red tomato sauce. I will go back but it was definitely not what I was expecting after seeing the yelp pictures and menus. I think they must have moved to a new location or renovated or something. I don't know. Very limited menu. I went on a Thursday night - maybe that's why.

We got jollof rice with chicken and Banku & fish. Delicious food that's worth the long wait.

Jollof Rice , chicken, beef

Some of the tastiest most delicious food I've ever had in my life, will definitely be a regular here

Turkey tails and fried yam, fried beef with jollof, fried croaker with banku

I ordered the turkey tails, fried croaker, and beef with jollof. Everything was DELICIOUS. Very good food, the staff was friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone to try.

Burnt spinach stew

Beautifully painted restaurant but that was the end of my positive experience. we waited over 40+mins for our spinach stew to arrive without any communication from our server on how much longer it would be. After arriving the stew was very clearly burnt and almost black yet somehow other parts of the meal were cold at the same time. The rice was decent at least......won't be returning

We ate with our hands so this is how they got us started.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Fairly small family owned restaurant and the waiter was very friendly and explained all the dishes. Brought out kids food first to get them going and had fun shapes for the rice. Food had a nice spice and very flavorful. I loved all of the dishes I tried. Sometimes it can take awhile to get your food, but it is worth it.

Great food. Jollof is the best in Worcester and so is the chofi. Only got 4 stars because it is always a long wait.

Rating: 4.5 Came to…read morestopped by this local family owned Ethiopian restaurant for lunch on the way to Vermont. Street parking available around the area. It's a small restaurant with just few seatings and a counter. Inside was pretty empty. Looked authentic as everyone in there were African people and seemed to be speaking African language. We sat down and looked at the menu. Menu is small but offer authentic Ethiopian dishes. I ended up getting some samosas to start, spicy lentil, mixed veggie and beef. Had chai tea. Chai tea was nice and hot, chai flavor with subtle sweetness and creaminess. The samosas were fresh, steaming, crispy, and hot on the inside. Came with a dipping sauce the has bit of acidity. All the types were good but beef was my favorite. We got Ethiopian platter with meat. It came with large anjero which is a spongy fermented flat bread which feels and look like a pancake. It came with 5 different dishes on top which consisted of lentil mix, beef and vegetables, cauliflower and eggplant, chicken and veggie, and collard greens and vegetables. You scoop up the dish with anjero and eat them together. I've never had this kind of dish but it was very interesting and tasty. It had lots of vegetables and was large portion so even sharing with another person, I feel like i got really full and got my vegetables for the day. Everything was spiced and flavored well and reminded of authentic home cooking. Even though that taste of the food wasn't mind blowing it was hearty, soulful and healthy food that leave you feel satisfied. The service was excellent. The server which i think is the owner was very nice and helpful. Being relatively new to Ethiopian cuisine he was able help us navigate what to expect and order and answer any questions. He was very friendly and almost felt like a fatherly figure. Overall this place is definitely a hidden gem. If you want to try authentic Ethiopian soul food. I highly recommend visiting. Food and service were excellent. I enjoyed the experience and i was glad that i was able to try new type of food i've never tried before. These kind of family owned local restaurant are what i like to and want others to support.

I had only been to one Ethiopian restaurant before and enjoyed the food there, so I was eager to…read moretry this restaurant. The man working there was friendly and welcoming and we got an Ethiopian anjero platter with three vegetable stews, beef, and chicken. Everything was delicious and tasted healthy and fresh. I think I preferred both meat stews and the mixed vegetable stew over the lentils and eggplant stews, but everything was great. I'm going to have to clarify this next time maybe, but the stews came atop a large anjero that tasted a bit more sour than the smaller ones that came on the side. We remember the bread from the other Ethiopian place we've tried in the past to be more sour than both of the ones we had here. I looked it up and it seems there's a difference between the Ethiopian anjero (larger and more fermented/sour) and the Somali one. I like both, but it was just interesting to learn.
