I have been doing taxes with them from 2013 to 2017. For 2017 I had given all the documents well in advance. Even then my taxes were returned on the last day. I stayed up all night going through them and found a lot of errors. Even then I payed them all the money they asked for no bargaining ever. After that I got 2 letters from IRS. I contacted these guys to get help as they had done the taxes. They said they are reviewing one notice and they will be a fee to file the reply with IRS. I said I will file the reply just tell me the computation of 2017 tax addition (Just a number) They waited till the last moment and then I get a mail saying they have filled a reply and I owe them $290. When replied back I did not hear anything back and then I get hit with a $243 Net 15 invoice and If I do not pay in 10 days 18% interest. I am really upset with these guys.

I assume the same was true from the IRS. Peterson would rarely call me back when asking questions or needing an update. The employees are unprofessional and lack knowledge. My financial advisor needed a CPA to calculate my yearly distribution amount. I was told that there would be no charge but she lied and charged me anyway. I hope this helps other people avoid Peterson tax services to save money and aggravation.

All while charging EXORBITANT fees beyond what was agreed to. Whenever we caught them in a mistake, they would make excuses, blaming the state, or us, or "we never got that password." According to the state a significant amount of the paperwork they filed for us was incorrect and we owe a lot of money. The state also said that the company could have gained access to everything they said they "couldn't do" with one phone call to them. Fraud? Incompetence? You decide. Just stay far away if you need a bookkeeper.

He was knowledgeable, listened well and was quick to grasp the situation. They work with digital signatures, which simplifies matters and the necessity of having to drive out there.
