Service is warm, intelligent, and deeply informed. Plant selection for quality native plants is very good. Their plants are a little pricey --(perhaps 10-15% more than Home Depot for example) but they stand behind their plants/products. Any plants or products that don't work out, just bring your receipt and they will give you a store credit or credit your card. Much of the value Harmony offers is in the quality of the products, the plants, and the intelligent service. Seriously, there is nowhere else I could go to find out how to dig up a fern from acidic soil, and properly care for it while it overwinters before planting it under a nearby redwood tree in the Spring! Harmony Farms also carries extraordinarily unique products, such as Stella Natura's biodynamic planting guide and a wide variety of seasonal, organic specialty plants as well as hard-to-find organic soil amendments. Parking is abundant. They're located just off of the Hwy 101/Penngrove exit heading east. A large sign that says "Barn" offers a fairly quick turn on your R into a wide gravel driveway. Enjoy!

Of course everyone kept mentioning one business but the way they would mention them made it seemed like they weren't really sure & I didn't have the time or patience to call every single florist. I did leave a message on the answering machine of Petaluma Floral before posting my question but it was after hours. Well Beth, who is the owner of Petaluma Floral, commented on my post that she could do it. But she took it a step further and posted a picture of one that she had just made & included her phone number. I called the next morning & she took the design she created for someone else and added yellow tulips as tulips were my brother's favorite flower plus I wanted yellow to light yellow since it was for his funeral. Let me tell you the price was right, and the arrangement & colors were exactly what I wanted! She was able to get me in her schedule since it only gave her 8 days to create it and she delivered them herself the morning of the funeral. Talk about excellent customer service!! I wish I would've gotten a better picture of this special arrangement but unfortunately the tent cast a shadow over them. They were beautiful! I've ordered from Petaluma Floral multiple times over the course of about a year now for special occasions, and these have been consistently some of the best arrangements I've ordered in my life. Each one has been a little different, but still maintain the same general look/feel per my preferences. I may have been a little lucky, but the bouquets always seem to last longer in the vase than some of the flowers I get from grocery stores too. I've only ordered online, but as another reviewer mentions, I get the sense that this floral arrangement company caters to making arrangements for specific types of events. That is, when you order an arrangement on their website, you can input your preferences and the general look and feel you'd like out of your arrangement and they'll design the arrangement to spec. You can preorder in advance of the date you'd like them to deliver. They have mostly been on-time with their deliveries (you can specify if you have a preferred time frame of delivery on a specific day), but have been communicative with me if the flowers need to be delivered in a different time frame (e.g., when they're really busy trying to get out an order for a large event like a wedding). Note that their website specifies that they only deliver in Petaluma. Overall, I would highly recommend Petaluma Floral.

Sure, California may be experiencing drought, but if you have a garden section, guess what? You need to water your plants. Lowes has started skipping that step but wouldn't dream of knocking a penny off plants that are already in distress when purchased. Home Depot does a slightly better job, but only by a nose. Shopping at Home Depot is generally unpleasant because the stores are, well, warehouses. Wilco has a much smaller garden section, but they tend what they have. They also intermix some unusual or unique plants with common ones which gives the feeling of shopping in a small nursery. Finally, their prices are better than either Lowes or HD. In addition, Wilco is the place to get bird seed for your outdoor birders like me. Lowes has rats they can't control so they quit carrying seed. HD went to tubs, but they don't have the variety that Wilco has. My only issue with Wilco is its sale of live chicks. I get it. Its a farm store. I disapprove but I get it.

I just felt like instead of standing there glaring at me she might've offered some additional assistance. Instead, I put the item down as I didn't have time to make sure it was the right size and I didn't have time to look for the other strap that I needed that was there on display, but I was not permitted to purchase what I needed. At this time, it was approximately 7:04. To General manager: Patricia needs customer service training--or she needs a different job that does not include interacting with customers. I spent over $400 between the blanket and a gift for someone. Both employees, NOT Patricia, were nice. They smiled and they were helpful. Upon my leaving, the first gal gave me a friendly smile and wished me a good night. When I had walked away from Patricia and I told her thank you, she did not reply. I did say it loud enough for her to hear. I should think that a customer dropping over $400 should be given at least common courtesy. I know if I were the general manager, I would want to know how my managers of each store were treating the customers. I really like the store and it is an hour away from me. I am tempted to come back, but this was quite an unpleasant experience.

I left with a Coleus, 2 packs of Botanical Interests seeds to grow both Gourmet Baby Greens and Upland Cress Microgreens, a contraption to cover fruit and vegetable plants in my existing garden (to keep birds and insects from enjoying things before me), and two tubes of Sister Bees Lip Balm at 50% off. They also sent some shrubs that I planted along a long walkway. The first batch were fine, but the 2nd batch turned out to be a different type. Again, same name, wrong plant. Since they refused to replace the shrubs, we ordered some additional ones that we paid for, again. At pickup, when we pointed out that the plants were incorrect and had completely different sized leaves than the original, they refused to take back the plants without us paying the nearly $100 restocking fee. I'm not sure who these other people who left reviews here are, but they might be friends of the business owners. They do have a deep selection of plants, but this is definitely a buyer beware situation.

They were the only company who even mentioned laying gopher wire and knew about Ditra membranes. Seeing Stephen Garcia on social media cinched it for me. He knew his stuff. This was a company that I could tell would care as much as I did. I came to them with a full design in mind. Lots of landscapers don't love that because they want to do their own thing or because clients don't understand engineering, permits, etc. That said, Novara not only brought my own vision to life but they improved upon it with their experience and passion. I had nothing in my yard but a lot of dirt. Now I have a stunning porcelain paver landing with lighting, a patio and a pergola, DG, irrigation, lighting and a stunning plant design that is flourishing! These guys impressed me with their crew and work ethic. They were there early every morning and worked full long days. Stephen was in constant contact with me and came by frequently. He discussed every little thing they were doing. Novara never pushed me nor grew impatient with me or my questions. They didn't try to add anything expensive and were completely transparent about everything they did, as they did it. I cannot recommend them enough! Drainage was our biggest concern as there's a slope going to the house. Addressing the engineering - not just aesthetics - gave us comfort that this company knows what they're doing. Quote- found them on Yelp, read the reviews, asked for a quote through Yelp projects. They offered next day coordination to view the project. Steven was pleasant and professional. Understood our drainage concerns. The emailed quote came the following day, and it had every detail requested. This punctuality and attention to detail already says a lot to me so we hired them. The job- Started on schedule and the team went above and beyond! We requested the excavated soil to be set aside so we could use it on another part of our property - they so kindly placed the soil in the areas we needed. We saw the engineering of the small gradation for water drainage. The channel drain and French drain were installed for longevity. The 1000+ sqft of pavers were meticulously arranged by hand to include border pavers. Timeframe- this massive job was scheduled for 5 days but extended into 10 days due to the manufacture shorting the border paver count. Clean up- the team did well to smooth out the rest of the excavated soil, gave us as much left over rock and pavers as we wanted and even relocated it to our convenience. Lastly, they swept the patio for immediate use and took any remaining debris. We very much appreciated Steven and the Novara crew for the long days and great work! We love that this a local family business doing great work. The patio looks great and it has us excited to extend our living space!
