There were a lot of people milling around in the TV lounge area when we were there. It was around 1:30 p.m. The rooms for the independent and assistant living are not shared. They are spacious and come with a bar area, meaning there is a sink in most of them and a mini fridge. One of them didn't have a sink, but had a mini fridge and freezer. It was pretty tall. All have step up showers meaning there is a lip you have to step into. I was surprised they didn't have roll in showers. The bathrooms are spacious. It looked like there was enough room to wheel in with a wheelchair or walker. The rooms have large closets with built in shelves. The rooms we looked at were not on the first floor and we took an elevator to them. I was told there is a lounge on every floor, at least that's what I think I was told, we did not tour the lounge. The independent and assisted living share a outdoor space. It was nice. It had a community garden, lots of sitting areas, a place to golf and a dog waste disposal system. The outdoors was verynice. The memory care unit also has an outdoor space. It's less then half the size of the other outdoor space, but it's still nice and spacious. It also has a garden in it and they had a bunch of green tomatoes growing that I could see. There was a sign on the door warning of the excess heat outside. It also had plenty of seating areas. The independent and assisted living share a dining area. It looks like a restaurant and they have a menu of what is being served. The same food is served to the Memory Care Unit. All units have activities directors and a whole calendar of activities. The Memory Care Unit has Zumba in the mornings. I think that is nice. It will get them moving. The independent and assisted living have 3 exits to the building and they are free to come and go at any time. They also have an acute care area for those that need additional care, but don't need to be in the memory care unit. We visited the locked down memory care unit. It was very pleasant. It was right after lunch when we arrived and everyone was waiting for ice cream to be served out. They looked like a lively group. One of the women even said hi to us and talked to us. It's the best Memory Care Center that we've visited.

My mother had been living at Casa Sandoval in Hayward. (You can see my Yelp review from that time to find out why I needed to move my mother. I hope things have improved since then) The terrible management at CS had completely destroyed my trust in any facility but I had no choice but to start looking around on my own. I visited a place in Union City which was way out of my budget but the staff in marketing actually seemed like decent, caring people. They recommended I call Sandra Wallace, and I did. Sandra came to meet my mother and I at Casa Sandoval. I was immediately impressed by her experience, professionalism, knowledge of the state laws regulating care facilities and especially her knowledge of the various facilities and costs in the area. After looking at several places she recommended I check out, I moved my mother to Rosegate in San Leandro. She lived there for almost five years until she died at age 93, very well taken care of. I was very happy. I had some problems in the first six months at RG but Sandra helped me get them resolved. Her knowledge and understanding of memory and cognitive impairment is amazing. In addition to managing facilities she also has hands on experience taking care of her own mother and understands the every day challenges of caregiving. In 2019 we started looking for a place for my aunt, who also has Dementia. I called Sandra and she helped us find a place we liked in Castro Valley. But then the Pandemic arrived and changed everything. My aunt came to live with us instead, which was a very challenging time. In September when I was at my wit's end I called Sandra again and asked for help. She recommended Quail Garden in Livermore, which is lovely AND they were allowing outside family visits which was critically important to us. My aunt has lived there since October and it's been great. I cannot recommend Sandra more highly. She is a powerhouse of knowledge and support. She is a person of integrity and stands by her clients. She checks in from time to time to see how things are going and goes the extra mile to solve any problems that may be going on.

Needed help transporting my 98-year-old mother-in-law home from rehab and needed homecare…read moretemporarily until a live in could be found. All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services. The entire organization from Lou Ann and Christina to the personnel answering the 24 hour "hotline" is in my mind, without a doubt, the best homecare service available. The missing star is related only to the size of some of the shared rooms. Not unusual. My elderly family member with quite advanced dementia has been here for over two years. I have visited at least once weekly, and at different times. I've had the opportunity to observe the staff both with him and with other residents. They are unfailingly kind and patient-- and cheerful, too. It's rare in a residential facility (this is his third), and worth everything. Too often a facility looks beautiful, but has awful care. Rosemont's care is exceptional.

Faced with the overwhelming task of putting this level of care together on short notice, Paulina, and Love Life Senior Care, was a godsend. Paulina is knowledgeable, compassionate, and responsive. Within days of making contact, she had met with my mother and me individually and also with members of the medical staff at his assisted living facility. In the short time we had to get care in place, she got to know our family, understand my father's needs, and understand how 24-hour care for my father would impact my mother. Paulina carefully screens potential staff to ensure they are a good fit for both my father's and mother's needs, gives us clear recommendations about potential caregivers, and checks in with us regularly to see how things are going.
