I have struggled to write a review that truly explains how wonderful Mitchener and Farrand is…read more When my fiance and I started looking at rings, I was...really unhappy with the first few stores we went to. We started at a store in the mall whose rings I had seen on Pinterest. The store was dirty, the selection was limited and...it just felt like a used car lot. We then went to a large local chain...and it was even worse. It was a sale event weekend, and we thought, perfect, let's go see what's what. The saleswoman sat us down at a counter, and started just bringing out rings. She didn't ask a price point, and when I said I wasn't sure what I wanted, just brought all types of rings. While I appreciate the options, some of the rings she brought me to try on were INSANE. Like, one of them was $17,000. Nope. No way. I don't even want to put it on!! As our last stop after this chain, we decided to stop in at Mitchener Farrand. I knew very little about it, but had always noticed their sign while driving on May, and they always put cute stuff on it. Wow. From the minute we walked in, I was impressed. Deann worked with us one-on-one to find the perfect ring, and special ordered several settings and diamonds, so I could get exactly what I wanted. She was always upfront about cost, and didn't try to get us to buy more than what we wanted to spend. She was lovely over both of our sessions, and we ended up with the perfect, rose gold diamond engagement ring. I LOVE IT. Overall, I will never shop for jewelry anywhere else. We will be going back in the Spring to buy our wedding bands, and I can't imagine going anywhere other than Mitchener Farrand and seeing Deann!

Very friendly and professional. The repair department is the best!. We were treated with a smile…read moreand a handshake.

Ray was amazing help in selecting the perfect diamond to go on my wide gold wedding band I…read moreinherited from my great great grandmother. The band is 132 years old and solid gold I was very particular about wanting to be sure the work was done to preserve the engraving on the inside of the ring. The diamond is an exquisite one and a quarter carat marquee cut. I am beyond thrilled with the craftsmanship that was used to create this piece. I wanted a family heirloom, and that is exactly what Ray made sure I received. She was also kind enough to ask about our budget. Thank you so much, Ray.!!! My husband and I are thrilled with this piece of family history you helped us create!! Ray and Diamonds Direct has our highest recommendation.

I am not a huge fan of the diamond industry but also wanted to make my fiancé happy, so I took her to look at several places. Diamonds Direct was so easy, transparent, and accommodating that we didn't even finish checking out other places around town. I saw some other review saying the associates were very rude regarding budget, but that was not my experience. I was very plain and transparent that I didn't want to spend over $2k on the diamond (lab-grown), and they were very supportive and helped me make various things cheaper, etc. At no point did I feel like they were rude because I wasn't spending a lot. Cindy was our primary contact, but we also had brief exposure to Dana and Mo. They were all lovely and very helpful. While our order was being prepared, Cindy kept us updated periodically via phone/text. The level of attention and care was very welcome. We did have an issue with a missing diamond we reserved, but they were super apologetic about it and actually shipped in a bigger diamond for the same price, so they took a bad situation and turned it into a positive. To summarize, Diamonds Direct makes it easy for a non-diamond person to casually participate. At the end of the day, I wanted a good deal, my fiancé wanted a big rock; we both ended up happy.

5/5 - Always a Great Experience at Brockhaus in Norman…read more Every time I've visited Brockhaus, the owner and the sales team have been extremely courteous, kind, and genuinely informative. The customer service is consistently top-notch. I picked up a Tudor FXD from them brand new, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I also sold them a vintage Rolex, and they were very fair with their offer. I combined that with some of my own money to purchase the Tudor, and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The store itself is clean and welcoming. On hot days they even offer cold water, which is a small touch but says a lot about how they treat their customers. Their selection of pre-owned watches is excellent--plenty of great pieces to look through. I haven't spent much time on the jewelry side, but the watch selection alone is worth the visit. Overall, Brockhaus is a solid place to buy or sell watches, and I've always left feeling well taken care of. Highly recommended.

If I could rate less than one star, I absolutely would…read more I recently went to Neifeh to have a stone set into a small pendant. The stone had already been sold to Sotheby's for $15,000, and they had already examined it and sent me a contract. All I needed to do was have the stone set into the pendant, and the deal would be completed. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking it to Neifeh to have the work done. My experience was good initially, but that changed when I went to pick up the pendant. When I received it, I immediately noticed what appeared to be a small scratch near one of the prongs. I pointed it out to a staff member, who acted very strangely and took it back to the jeweler to see if he could correct it. When she returned, I told her the mark was still there. She went back to the jeweler again, and when she came back, she said, "Oh yeah, he never even noticed that. That looks like a surface-reaching inclusion to me." What makes that particularly frustrating is that I never told her that I had previously worked in the jewelry industry as a jeweler for six years. I find it extremely difficult to believe that a jeweler could work on a stone and not notice a mark like this, especially when it was apparently significant enough to be immediately visible to me. I tried explaining that this was not an inclusion and showed her the AGL certification for the stone. She continued to insist that, in her opinion, it looked like a "surface-reaching inclusion." For the record, that terminology itself raised another concern for me. Perhaps she meant a blemish, but regardless, that was not what was present on this stone. At that point, I left the pendant with them and gave them the opportunity to investigate the issue. Ultimately, nothing was done, and I was simply told to come pick it up. There was no meaningful attempt to resolve the problem or take responsibility for what had happened. I then contacted AGL directly. They informed me that when the stone was examined, there were no scratches, marks, blemishes, chips, fractures, or other damage on the surface of the stone. I also took the stone to four other jewelry stores, including BC Clark and Bartolo's, and simply asked them to look at it and give me their opinion. Without knowing what had happened, they all came to essentially the same conclusion immediately: it looked like the stone had been scratched. At this point, I honestly don't know whether Neifeh was being dishonest or simply incompetent, but either way, this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in their ability to handle valuable jewelry. The consequences have now become very real. Sotheby's has informed me that I will have to pay to have the damaged area polished, and because the stone will lose some weight in the process, they will then offer me a reduced purchase price. I will also have to pay to have the stone reset afterward. So, thanks, Neifeh. I now have to spend additional money to end up receiving less money for a stone that was apparently in acceptable condition before it was brought to your store. I will say that the staff was friendly throughout the process. However, being friendly doesn't make up for what happened when there was a problem. When something goes wrong with a customer's valuable jewelry, I expect a reputable jeweler to investigate the issue, take responsibility when appropriate, and work toward a solution--not simply dismiss the customer's concerns and send them on their way. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend staying away from Neifeh for jewelry repair or setting work, particularly if you are dealing with a valuable or irreplaceable stone. If you simply want to purchase overpriced jewelry, that's your decision, but after this experience, I would absolutely not trust them with my own.
