I have just finished my 5th week as a student that is studying behavioral health. I am 52 in August…read moreand I will have completed the summer semester. From the time I decided to go back until now, everyone from faculty, students, teachers and other facilitators have been nothing but helpful in every area so that I can accomplish what God is doing for me. I ended up looking for an RT program and found one through Pickens (pima and concorde charge twice as much for half the education). Even though I have all my prerequisites done, CCA requires 19.5 credits to be completed with THEM before they will allow you to get your degree. I was advised to either take throw away classes or to retake the classes I have already committed the time and money for previously. This comes out to be an EXTRA 5k for classes that I will not need! This is simply a way to suck more money from students, when they are supposed to be helping mostly MINORITY students find ways to complete school. I am an adult student who "makes too much" for financial aid... what a joke. I can barely make bills but wanted to try to create a better life for myself by going back to school. I came in person to try to talk to someone to see what options I had. The financial aid person who was supposed to know all about this area told me that the most I could get was 200 dollars and that "we all need to make sacrifices sometimes" and that sacrifice would be to take out student loans. Do these people not know what is going on with people's student loans nowadays?? I do NOT want to take out loans if I can help it! It seems like this school is my only option and I am not happy with how my experience has gone at all thus far. My only hope is to just work extra hours even though school is more than full time due to their "19.5 credits" rule and struggle through the next two years. I am very disappointed in this school and highly recommend that anyone looking to go here look at ACC. Their school goes above and beyond for their students and is totally on top of their stuff. I wish THEY had an RT program!!

The academy fired our instructor with only one class left in the 8 weeks, which was extremely disruptive to our progress. Regardless of their reasons for firing him (which they shared with the students), I think they should have waited to let him go after our sessions were completed. We were left to review the material and take our final with a completely new instructor. I would not recommend this facility for phlebotomy training because I found them to be very rigid to work with and not flexible with student's schedules. I also think they are expensive compared to other facilities. The most important piece of training is a great instructor and Aplmed let an incredible instructor go.

Additionally, I had concerns about the owner's professional conduct and behavior, which I felt did not reflect the standards expected of an educational institution. I also became aware of concerns raised by some staff members regarding compensation practices, including reports that some employees may have received payments without standard tax withholdings being applied. These concerns should be reviewed and addressed appropriately to ensure compliance with employment and payroll requirements. I encourage prospective students to conduct thorough research, including reviewing accreditation, certification recognition, student outcomes, employment opportunities, and the overall reputation of the school before making an enrollment decision.

The school has so much to offer students of all backgrounds, cultures, educational interests, and beyond. With students from all over the world and professors with a strong passion and desire to teach, mentor, and inspire; this institution is a prime University. I look forward to being a life-long donor post my graduate ceremony.

I graduated from DU's University College in the spring of 2010. I absolutely loved my time at this…read moreschool, and the final capstone project was one of the hardest things I've ever done. This is definitely not a program you just "buy" a degree - it wasn't an easy program. I completely disagree with the previous review, as graduate degrees from a accredited school that is highly respected, as DU is, will set you way above people that just hold undergraduate degrees and even some graduate degrees. I have a Master of Professional Studies with emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Administration, and have been told by recruiters that this degree ranks equal with an MBA with the same concentrations. I work in HR and I 100% degree. Just Google how many other big name colleges offer a Master of Professional Studies. A lot! University College gave me the flexibility to work full-time and attend school full-time and I graduated in under 2 years. It is also a substantially less expensive program compared to other graduate schools, and you still get a degree from reputable private school (University of Denver). Also, without this degree many doors that weren't open to me before have now opened. I had great instructors, fabulous advisors, and an all around great experience. It is not an easy school, but your hard work will be rewarded at the end when you have that piece of paper. I am a huge supporter of DU - University College. No education is a waste, this will get you better jobs and more money. I would do it over in a heartbeat and do refer this school to others.

The teacher though are very rude, I honestly never experienced anything like it before. I feel its disorganized, theres no one to teach you how to use the online portal for your online classes, the teachers are powerpoint only. the adobe connect doesn't work for online half the time ( could be the teacher didn't know how to use it either). They express no help at all and they give you a vague set of instructions to do homework. then when you turn it in and its wrong they give you a totally different set of instructions and expect you to be a mind reader. The students, some are exceptionally rude also. financial aid will call you all the time, even sundays!! then when you don't answer they leave you a rude voicemail. they insist you take out loans, even when you don't need too. its way over priced for what you are getting from this school! please please please go to a different school. For Military students, be ready to put up a fight and never get the full amount from your post 9/11. They will rip you off !!

This school is very overpriced compared to others and the quality of the academics is much lower…read more They basically accept anyone who can pay or finance and so your class is taught to the lowest denominator, many people who barely speak or write english and do not have fundamental understanding for the course, which in turn dilutes the reputation of your degree. When you get out in the world, hiring organizations have experienced CTU graduates and so will assume you are also the same (not a good thing). I took my degree off my resume because of this. I got a Masters degree in computer science because it was close to work and offered evening onsite courses. Had I known what I know now, I would have gone elsewhere like Metro State. The instructors are barely qualified, they rely on powerpoint slides and don't seem to know much when you ask questions off script. Their recruitment is very aggressive and pushy, definitely over selling their product. They really push you to finance and their lending rates are high end. If you have any questions or need support once you are enrolled, good luck...very slow to respond, you have to continually follow up. Once they have your money they don't seem to care about much else. This school is a rip off, pursue other options and get more for your money, especially when it comes to technical subjects.
