Our 2018 Ford 150 was stolen out of Pro Auto Tech's parking lot on June 22nd after the owner, Rick, left our keys in the vehicle unlocked and unattended prior to leaving on vacation out of the united states for several weeks... We disputed the repair service with our credit card company because our vehicle had not been returned to us and because of the negligent handling of our vehicle while in Pro Auto Tech's possession. Our truck was found July 15th by police and taken into a Ford dealership to have it re-keyed and inspected for damages. It was at this time Rick personally disputed our claim with the credit card company and recharged our card because "they found the vehicle". To this day Rick, the owner of Pro Auto Tech, never tried to reach out out to us, apologize for incident / inconvenience, and refuses to accept any responsibility for the events that took place under his care. Rick and Pro Auto Tech is a shady business at best. Customers please beware!!!

After a few hours they called and went over the couple issues they had found and should be replaced which they were very nice and helpful. They found that one control arm had some play in it and should be replaced, the brake vacuum was bad, and one of the window switches auto up didn't work. After taking this to the dealer they fixed the issue and all was well. After driving 100 miles back home we noticed the car didn't handle any bumps or turns very well. We took it to a local mechanic where they found the following wrong with it- Self leveling shock system (air bags and shocks) torn and blown out- $1500 Compressor for shocks burnt out and hasn't been operational for a long time- $1000 Upper passenger control arm causing stability issues and creaking (needs replaced and alignment)- $950 We paid $199 to have them check the important components of a car before buying. Now we are stuck with a bill totaling over $3000 on a vehicle with less than 150 miles from us driving it. Do not take your car here for pre-purchase inspections. These are all common failure points for this vehicle with this many miles as confirmed with multiple other trusted local mechanics in our area. The least they could do is refund this inspection fee to help cover the cost of repairs of a car we wouldn't have bought in the first place if due diligence was done as we trusted it would be.

I considered going to the Subaru dealer in Beaverton but I gravitated to Brock Automotive because of their stellar, glowing reviews. Glad I did. First, scheduling online is easy and they text you confirmations and reminders. They also respond to texts quickly and efficiently. Note that you will likely need to drop off your vehicle as they are very busy - another good sign! - and though I needed to leave my Subaru overnight, the repairs were done in a reasonable amount of time for the services required. What I also like is their system of 'needs attention, could wait, and doesn't need work' that is color-coded on their estimate sheet by Red, Yellow, and Green; as well the costs for the repairs are clear on that sheet. You can then decide what you want done, approve it, and they will begin the work on your car. My estimate is just what I paid, so zero surprises. Immediately walking in to their shop office, I was greeted cheerily and nicely by Coy--I felt comfortable and relaxed. Picking up my car, I was greeted by an owner, who was equally as cheerful and nice. My car was waiting for me right out front when I exited the office - everything was clean just as I'd left it. Having never used anything other than fast oil change places, I didn't realize it would take a few hours, and be a drop off, but that was A-ok. I was so pleasantly surprised when I picked up my car. Not only had my oil been changed, and the new wipers I asked for installed, but they had vacuumed out my 11-year-old mom car so well, the carpet look new. They wiped the interior down as well. The shop had very friendly staff, and I learned they have been opened locally since 1964. The value was good, actually extra good with the attention to detail they paid.
