Had an excellent dinner here with some of my teammates. Very healthy portion size and reasonable prices on the fajitas, burritos, and apparently the Michelada was a hit. Server was nice and allowed our large party to split the bill. read more

I went with the street tacos this time, and they were pretty good; no complaints at all. I'm really glad to see this place still going strong. It's definitely one of the best Mexican spots in the area. read more

Acapulco Mexican Grill - Mexican Near Me - Blackstone, Virginia

this was a very nice restaurant and the prices were reasonable. The staff was incredibly professional, and the food was very good. If you're training nearby or visiting the area, then I recommend that you stop here for a meal Note, they can handle large groups, but they would prefer that you consolidate until one bill read more

My wife and I love this spot! Service is fast the food is good and never disappoints. It's very spacious and you never feel unwelcome between the music food or drinks definitely the best Mexican restaurant in blackstone! We will definitely continue to com here! I wish I could post a picture of the food but it would just be pictures of empty plates read more

The serving sizes are generous and the pricing is reasonable, but the margaritas were not good, at least the night I went. They're mostly mixer and very sweet. The paintings and murals on the walls are a very nice look. read more

The food in this place was absolutely horrible. We ordered basic tacos, the meat was cold and super tough and chewy. The beans and rice also tasted very old and were still cold. We ended up leaving with our plates still half full. Nobody asked what was wrong or cared. Please DO NOT patron this "so called" restaurant, you can do better anywhere else. If I could rate 1/2 a star I would. read more

I've eaten here several times. Food is good. Sometimes the plates look put together quickly and are messy and other times it looks like a culinary delight. read more

Acapulcos is great. The atmosphere is fun, murals on the wall are bright and colorful. Food is delicious. Service was great! What more could you want? Fast and friendly! read more

Wanted to like this place. Nice decor and music. Attentive staff. Unfortunately margarita was too sweet (please stop with the mixers and just use lime juice and triple sec!) and I'm not sure there was any tequila in it. Good chips and salsa Mediocre enchiladas though all ingredients seemed fresh read more

Acapulco's is good for what it is, fast Americanized Mexican food. I'm not a fan of the margaritas as it taste like koolaid lime flavor with tequila added to it, just very blasé and too sweet. Margaritas should be sour and strong. Not sugary. The best thing this restaurant has to offer are tamales with the Chile con carne on top . The other dishes are fresh and well made, I have no complaints about them. If you get take out make sure to check your order and try for itemized receipt or explanation Bc there was one time we were overcharged by 30 dollars, it was rectified and all was well. read more

The food is generally ok, the staff doesn't talk much (which is fine), depending on who makes the queso dip, it's either awesome or watery, there's no inbetween. read more

I love the food and the people here! The shrimp quesadilla is awesome! The chips and salsa are good too, but I wish they had Mexican white sauce. read more

We have been going here since i was little!! doesnt look like very much inside or out, honestly, but the food is amazing!! they took outvthe smoker bar a few years ago and it's honestly even family-friendlier. amazing mexican food, with an american-style kids menu for picky eaters. read more

Chori Pollo is my go to meal - there's nothing better than chorizo and chicken!! Salsa and chips were great, the significant other had a taco salad. Service was quick and everything came out together, hot n fresh! read more

The rolled and filled pancake-like snacks (tacos) served here are sensational---tender wrappers enfold a variety of fillings from beans to cheese to pork, and a combination of the same. We eat our fill, but save room for the other house specialty, chicken fajita's, a dish of pulled chicken breast, doused in liberal amounts of cheese and seasonings speckled with cilantro, and served with the ubiquitous scoops of cheese and onions. There's also a beef taco, chiles rellenos and the carne asado, freshly-grilled steak with cilantro and spices. A hole-in-the-wall location often signifies authenticity when it comes to ethnic eateries, but it rarely forebodes gastronomical innovation. Quite understated Acapulco's, however, serves up daring, progressive Mexican cuisine for which you would expect to be forced to endure a week-long waiting list. You'll soon forget about your neighborhood Blackstone diner the moment you savor this chefs' creations. Besides being an ultracasual neighborhood kind of place, Acapulco's has the unique distinction of being open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Can't sleep? Stop in for a taco or two. read more

They're so rude honestly. The food is okay but they give less food now for a higher price.

After a long day of working at a golf tournament, we brought our weary bodies to Acapulco for a much needed margarita and maybe a snack. Well immediately upon looking at the menu i noticed the 2.75 sangria and was stoked. Everyone else hunted for the margarita and saw none. WTF? Its a mexican restaurant! Well unfortunately they lost their liquor license and therefore no margaritas. Seriously... if you're a mexican restaurant and lose your liquor license, change to something else! I wanted a margarita. We ordered some queso and bean dip that wasn't bad at all, and i decided to get a 3.75 buritto. Well i should have saved my $4 and waited to eat until wawa the next morning. It was literally just ground beef and tortilla. No sauce inside. Nothing. Ground beef. I ate it cause i was hungry, but i was really disappointed. And my 2.75 sangria? Tasted like grape juice. No fruit. Basically the most disappointing meal ever... but it cost me less then $10 w/ tax and tip so i really can't give it 1 star. read more

I used to go here a lot but finances prevented me from going for quite a while until tonight. It is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Started off ok. I got my chips and salsa quick but then it went downhill. It took a good 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. The restaurant was reasonably busy but far from packed. We ordered and our food came in a reasonable amount of time but when the server handed me my plate I was shocked. I have seen dog food that looked more appealing what was on my plate. There was also a huge ring of grease all around my food. I ate it because I was hungry but there was absolutely no flavor to the food. It's horrible when you can say that the only good thing about your dinner was that you didn't have to cook it. I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore. read more

Stopped in here on our way to Roanoke for dinner. Staff was friendly and efficient and holy cow the food...the food was outstanding. Reasonable prices and huge portion sizes. I eat a lot of Mexican food and this was one of the top places I've been to. A little out of the way from the interstate, but worth hitting the backroads to this town and giving this place a try. read more

In town on business. Very pleased to grab lunch here. Service was friendly and speedy. I LOVE Mexican cuisine and was not disappointed. I ordered chicken fajitas. It was cooked perfectly and well portioned. Steamy but not overdone. Chicken was tender and juicy. Guacamole was well flavored. Salsa was very mild but fresh. If I come back this way, I'll stop again! My only complaints would be the bathroom was not very clean or stocked. Definitely more of a bar scene but comfortable for lunch. read more

Great Mexican food if you're out at Fort Pickett. We had a group of 10, which limited our seating options. We ended up in the smoking section. Yep. A smoking section. I didn't think those still existed in America, and it was bad. Eye watering bad. But the food was good. I had the enchiladas with tomatillo salsa. Excellent! Service was alright but I'm sure that was down to the influx of folks conducting training at Pickett. read more

Food and service get 5 Stars, the only reason this place gets 4 stars is because of the layout of the restaurant. If you did not have to walk through a smoking room to get to the restaurant, this would be 5 Stars. Great food. Very friendly service. Some of the best Mexican food I have had. I will come back. read more

well for the comment that Michelle P. from Fairfax, VA. there burrito arent $3.75, there actually $3.00 at the time you came in there in 2009. Now there $3.50 due to the economy everything goes up. Did you read the menu like everyone else or did you think it was Taco Bell. Taco Bell and Real Mexican Food are not the same. maybe you spent too much time there. read more

Great for in the middle fo South-Central VA. It is actually pretty rare for me to come to Blackstone and not have a meal in this place. Reasonable food, quick and professional service and cheap prices keep me coming back. The fare is pretty varied for a small town Mexican restaurant and overall I have never had a bad meal. Definitely on my must eat places in Blackstone. read more

Worst experience ever in a restaurant! Waitress brought us the wrong food. She then proceeded to argue with me about what we did order. I asked for the manager; the owner comes over and really didn't care. The waitress comes back over to continue arguing and was just very rude. I asked the owner if she was ok with how her waitress was acting and she responded with yes, she's ok. Wow! At no point did the waitress or the manager offer to take the incorrect order back or replace it. We ended up walking out. Will definitely never go back. read more

Only Mexican restaurant in town so nothing else to compare to. Cheerful staff, food came quickly, food was affordable. The beer was cold. I had the quesadilla cancun which was suppose to have crab meat which turned out to be artificial. My wife got the lunch special 1 which was suppose to be spicy but it wasn't also we couldn't find a bottle of hot sauce anywhere. read more

Very good! We were traveling through and stopped. It was Mother's Day and they gave me a free fried ice cream!

Food and service are amazing, best place in town to eat. Number 56 is a must try and my personnel favorite

Great food decent price! Drinks are strong service was speedy house salsa was fresh. Will visit again in the future

Came here for lunch and left feeling extremely satisfied. The chili rellonos are outstanding, stuffed with meat and cheese, breaded and then fried. The kids love the chops and queso. The portions are very good and prices very reasonable. I highly recommend stopping here for a bite! read more

Timely service, authentic and decent cost. Great for relaxing after work with friends and family.

Good service, great selection. I've eaten here many times and always enjoyed the food. My only complaint is I wish they would get rid of the smoking section. If I go in as a single I like to eat at the bar and watch TV instead of taking up an entire table. The bar area reeks of smoke. If smoking would be done away with I would give the restaurant an additional star. read more

Solid Mexican fare. My carne asada steak was quite good and a large portion, served searing fajita style over grilled onions and cilantro. My other dining companions all complimented their's as well. My wife said her chicken tacos were good and she liked that they were lighter and less greasy than other versions she has had elsewhere. Only criticism is that one of the kids ordered fries with her taco and it came out w/ rice and beans. When this was brought to their attention they took the whole dish back rather than just leaving it and bring the fries out when they were ready. Also, they were a little slow refilling glasses and my wife and I would likely have ordered another beer if more promptly asked. Nonetheless, all around it was a pleasant meal with friendly service. read more

I never have good expierences at Mexican restaurants since I don't know what I'm ordering, but this one is beyond impressive. The customer service is a 10/10. They remember you every time you come in. They make good suggestions as well. Go here read more

Check your ticket. Ordered a $5.50 lunch special and tea and total was $12.21. When I inquired about the high bill they said it didn't come with rice. I said the menu said it did and we looked and it was a totally different menu than I was given and I didn't want to argue. Either way it's never cost me this much to eat lunch in a Mexican restaurant. Won't be back. read more

Great food!! Authentic Spanish rice. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Very friendly. Beautiful artwork. Definitely worth a trip. Affordable

We go here often. I always get the grilled chicken salad with pico di guio, limes (for squeezing) and instead of dressing I use salsa...heaven. My family also love it and we have never had a bad meal. The service is always good and friendly. read more

Haven't been here in years but the last time I went I remember how good the food and the service was. I believe it was my junior prom in 2009. Anyway, the staff worked very well together and quickly. I don't think we waited over 10 minutes for our food. Great place to eat and affordable! read more
