My go-to "corner" market…read more I love this little gem of a store on my way home. It's the kind of neighborhood corner market that delivers exactly what I need. The selection is great for quick stops. They have what you need, whether it's a snack, a drink, or a few groceries. Their prices are very reasonable (honestly, better than I expected for such a convenience/liquor store). The staff are friendly and welcoming every time I walk in. It makes the experience feel personal. They also always wish me luck when I purchase a lottery ticket... even if it hasn't helped yet lol. The location is super convenient; right on my route home, so it's incredibly easy to pop in and pop out. If you're looking for a friendly, well-priced, convenient store to run errands at, this place is a winner. I'll definitely keep coming back.

This location deserves it's current three star rating imo…read more I grew up in Lodi and this has always been one of the pricier grocery stores in the area. They do have a larger organic vegetable section than probably any store in the area but because of the prices, I don't typically shop here. The service is fine, usually chattier and slower and I understand some people like that unctuous way but I prefer faster and more efficient. They recently had a sale which caused me to shop here for a few weeks in a row and it was worth it for the deal, but due to the limited selection, I would not make this my regular store.

I walked into Big Trees Market at 6:50 PM last night (3/31) to grab a few quick items. There were…read morestill multiple customers shopping--completely normal. At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing
