This job also allows me a lot of independence, and one of my favorite aspects is that I can set my own availability through the Sitter App, which has been perfect while I am going to college because I can get the hours I want without running into schedule conflicts. And if I happen to have more availability, I can always pick up additional sitter jobs that are sent out in a daily blast email or text. I also like that, despite working alone in the community at the sitter jobs, I still feel connected to the company because there is very good communication and outreach to employees. I have often received phone calls from staff checking to see how things are going, and if there is anything that I may need.
