She is cool, laid back and has a great sense of humor, which means everything to someone like me with major math anxiety. So ... after all the years, I received my associates degree in Mathematics, Engineering and Natural Science. I credit Danielle with much of my success because she helped me develop study habits and thought processes that carried me through my undergraduate courses. There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about Danielle. She is currently helping me in college chemistry and trigonometry. I really really enjoyed my time with Danielle. Have struggled with Algebra throughout my life and this was my second attempt at College Algebra after a fifteen year break. After only two weeks into the class, I was adrift at sea. Had pretty well decided I needed to drop the class but emailed Danielle and she got right back to me, which was a great mercy, since I was about to go under. She calmed me down and said very sensible things about why she thought I could do it, after looking over my notes and assessing my situation. She tried to find out how I learn and pushed me to think about the concepts behind the problems, not just the steps, and was always exceedingly patient with me when I didn't understand, which happened with an alarming frequency. She always had another way for me to think about something and had such a friendly way of rooting for me. The other thing I loved about her is how well she has her hands on the ropes of the University "system". She very generously gave me sound advice on classes to take and also how to study for exams, which was perhaps the most beneficial for me, personally. I was hoping for a C in the class but received a 97% on the Final and an A overall.
