I needed to extend my trip a few days and a woman at the front desk (whose name I'll refrain from mentioning) said I'd have to move to a different room if I wanted to stay and keep the same rate. I could tell she was new at the time and had no concept of hotel "hospitality." I moved to the new room and promptly advised my finance department to remove the hotel from the list of approved accommodations when staying in Burlington. Again, the rooms look great in pictures but the walls were paper thin and there was a huge gap under the room's entrance door - so much so I could see people's shadows walking by at night. The bed was not comfortable either. Given how much the room(s) cost, it is not worth it. The value just isn't there.

I wish we were staying more than 1 night during our week vacation here in Vermont from Michigan. Many instruments around the home you can enjoy and play. Such a great location. They also had parking available for $15 a day. It was very convenient for us as we were able to just park in the lot and walk to nearby spot, without having to pay the meters. Our check in process was super fast and easy. Being Platinum Bonvoy member, we got room upgrade and they allowed us late checkout at 4pm. The lobby was beautiful. The gym and pool were at lower floor. Pool area was heated. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom. The bed was trademark Marriott quality, with excellent mattress. TVs and all other items were working fine in the room. The furnitures in the room were a bit old. They were showing signs of aging. Shower had excellent water pressure but the sink's was too low. There were plenty of clean soft towels and toiletries. We got amazing service throughout our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Check-in was seamless & very personable - I rang a bell in the lobby & someone (Paige, I think?) appeared in seconds. My room was ready before their stated 4 PM check-in time, so I was allowed to settle in early. I stayed in the Half Pigeon room (all of the rooms are named & have very different vibes) which was very black & white & abstract. The common areas are designed to perfection. The solarium?! Maybe my favorite room I've ever stepped into in the entire universe. There are multiple fireplaces throughout the first floor. There is a small fridge for guest-use in the bar area, as well as an ice freezer. Snacks in a snack cabinet up for grabs. Breakfast was incredible. A full spread of fruits, yogurt, housemade bread (& gluten-free bread by request), flourless quiche bites, & more. Delicious, fresh-brewed coffee & all sorts of milks to choose from. On day two, they did breakfast to-order rather than a buffet. I assume to reduce food waste. I filled out a card with my desired breakfast order & what time I'd like to eat. It appeared on a tray in the dining room exactly when I requested. This hotel is SO worth the little splurge. I'm already daydreaming about planning a trip back to Burlington to stay here again. There are a few rooms on the main level, including a sun-drenched living room where you can read a book, play games, or visit with those you love. The food and beverage are one step ahead of you with a station for tea, another area with snacks and fresh baked cookies, a coffee bar, and sparkling and fresh water on tap. I love having sparkling water on tap! The vibe is welcoming. The continental breakfast is phenomenal with really beautiful Vermont products and keeps it light with fresh breads and fruits. Try the granola. The staff are beyond amazing and really made our experience incredible! They are available and help to meet any requests. They also know a ton about Burlington so really great resource. The staff are friendly and kind. I ordered a cheese board ahead of time and really recommend it because the presentation is beautiful and a great treat to have. I stayed here with my 11 year old son and felt like it was a great choice for us. (I think it's not a hotel for really young kids, also most rooms you access by stairs so something to consider.) We stayed in the room called "Mini Bar." WOW what an incredible room. It's a king suite with a separate living room and huge king bedroom. The living room has a lovely small fireplace. The bathroom is tiny and tucked away, with steps between it and the bedroom, but that's some of the character of a building built in the 1800's. I think they did a phenomenal job updating parts of the inn to make it functional and modern, while keeping with the original charm. Full disclosure, it's an old inn so you might hear other guests as with most bed and breakfasts. If you are sound sensitive it might not be your spot. We found it incredibly relaxing and just an amazing experience. I'm already planning my next trip back!

I didn't bother calling back, but I did go to the front desk and tell them when I checked out. I forgot to mention that I had to change the sheets on the bed because I found black hairs everywhere. Someone is dropping the ball here (I'm guessing housekeeping) Pool was well-kept. I enjoyed the hot tub and the views of the trees outside. Relaxing!! Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. I do think it was extremely expensive and housekeeping should've been better, however we did come during the fall season and I'm assuming this is an expensive and busy time to come.

It's perfectly located near Church Street and Lake Champlain, and the on-site bar and shuttle service are nice perks. Heads-up: there's ongoing street construction outside that makes access a bit tricky with narrow walkways and some daytime noise. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay in the heart of the city. Would definitely return!

Cora, wait staff at free breakfast was a dream, she was extremely helpful in finding an Urgent Care needed the first day of our stay. Not sure if they're short staffed or what the problem was. I ended up opening the window, only to be woken multiple times by the noise from the parking lot, the street, and the humid air outside. Sleeping there was a nightmare. The room itself was not large therefore turning a wheelchair around could be difficult. There was a small table with 2 chairs. Both chairs had arms which would not work for someone wanting to slide from their wheelchair into a chair. My other issue was when we checked in they should have told us that there was another entrance closer to our room. We ended up walking the entire length of the hotel to find our room. Which was next to an entrance. Also the breakfast room was downstairs. There is an elevator which takes you to the lower floor. The breakfast room is a the opposite end. Overall the hotel staff was courteous and the room was clean.

I don't like the price here, especially for just a Hilton, but I'm sure it due to it being in Burlington.

Maybe in the era of AI they will learn to recognize irony). Anyhoo I guess I am with the folks who can't figure out how this hotel managed to get dinged so frequently. I think I would be less favorable if I had paid $400 for my room, and I guess that happens. However I would rate this place as "meets expectations" given what it is reasonable to expect from a Doubletree. My room seemed to be at the tail end of the housekeeping rotation so I kept coming back for a nap at 3:30 and the room hadn't been serviced. But they did fine whenever I managed to hold off until 5:00. I guess that's on me. The morning coffee in the lobby was free during my stay--not standard for Doubletree.
