Original review below: --- I'm usually not one to leave a negative review, but this has been the worst experience I've ever had with any company and I feel a need to warn others. We hired Music in Motion to DJ our wedding reception because they were known as the best and most reliable in town. We had a contract. Everything was paid for. Confirmation calls a few days in advance. It seemed like everything was set. During the reception the grand march is supposed to start at 8. Around 7:30 I began to get concerned that there was not yet a DJ around setting up. So I started to place some calls (this is during the dinner, when the most important people in my life are giving speeches that I had to miss). Between emails and online searches, we found 4 different phone numbers for Music in Motion. None of them reached an actual person. The worst part is, one of those was labelled as the on-call number. Maybe on-call means something different to Music in Motion, but to me it means a person is always on the other end of that number. So 8pm comes and goes, and still no DJ. We're starting to panic at this point. The entire bridal party is trying to call any number we can find for Music in Motion, including the number of the DJ himself. Nobody can get a hold of anyone. Finally we start calling around for replacement DJs. We ended up finding Radio 1 Music DJs at the very last minute and they could make it by 9pm to start our grand march. The only thing they needed was $600 on the spot in cash. Amongst the bridal party we didn't have enough, so we had to ask friends and family at our wedding for cash, after most of them had just provided us with gifts. That should never have to happen. Keep in mind, my brand new bride is in back crying for most of this. What a great wedding night! I sent them an email that night requesting a full refund, plus the cost of the new DJ, which I figured was justified by the situation. So you would think Music in Motion would probably apologize, right? Wrong. Never heard from them the day after the wedding. Finally two days after I got a voicemail while on the flight to our honeymoon just asking how we would like the refund. No apology or reason as to why the DJ never arrived. It's been 5 days now, and still nothing. We got the original $650 refunded, but a refund does not seem like enough when a contract was breached and our wedding night ruined. So if you actually want a DJ to show up to your event, I would not recommend Music in Motion.

    Just Awful!!!! I hired this company to work my wedding in June of 2016. Seth the best dj they have…read moreaccording to the companies reps was just awful. He did not do his job. Didn't play music requests, screwed up our dances, did not even bother doing garter or bouquet toss, the uplighting he set up was a huge tripping hazard to my wedding party. I did receive a partial refund although i should have gotten a full refund for their failure to entertain my guests. My guests were complaining about the DJ disregarding their requests. People ended up leaving out of boredom. I did my part and informed the music coordinator exactly what was expected of our DJ and when. HE DID NOT DELIVER!! The company stayed in contact with me and made it seem all flawless while going through planning process, and made you feel like everything was taken care of until the day of....what a horrible experience.

    We booked on recommendation by our venue at the time in April of 2019. Our wedding is a month away…read moreand I haven't heard any communication from them about what to expect, what would be included in the price, nor have they asked about what we are looking for on the wedding day. They also expected for us to pay the full balance a month prior which I was not comfortable doing so without having a conversation about what the plan would be. The communication we have received has been unprofessional and rude. Steve gives off an arrogant vibe. Our "contract" was a Google Form that provided very little information. Yesterday, I canceled our services with Music Mix due to the lack of communication and the unprofessional communication that we did receive and Steve's response was: "We are great. Ask [name of event planner]. [Venue] loves us. We are the preferred vendor at every banquet hall." Steve also proceeded to reach out to the event planner at my venue multiple times to have her convince us to change our minds. I can't speak to the services they provide during an event, but since we had such an awful experience with them leading up to ours, we simply couldn't chance it. Update: After posting this review, I received an email from Steve stating: "You are rude and terrible. Don't ever call us or email ever again. GLAD we aren't doing your event. Go AWAY"

Our DJ was dropped off 10 minutes before he was supposed to start. He did not have all of his cords so was unable to play anything and he didn't have a car to fix the situation either. Approximately 2 hours later, our friends had found their own equipment to make the music happen. Of course, by then, many of my wedding guests decided to leave. When the DJ was testing out his equipment, he was using the song for our first dance. At least an hour later we had to ask him to do our dances we had requested. I gave very specific directions on how I wanted the first dance and parents' dances to be orchestrated which he totally did not follow. Thankfully, we have a friend who is a DJ and he salvaged what Could be in terms of the entertainment. All along the DJ is indulging in alcohol and food, which we would not have minded if he were actually doing his job. When the "DJing," was finished, the DJ chose to stay for a couple hours and hang out with wedding guests and drink While he waited for his ride. When his ride arrived, he asked if it was okay to leave his equipment at our home for the night and pick it up the next day. The DJ was awful! Kelly Wilde was extremely evasive, arrogant and rude as we attempted to report our concerns and seek a refund. We received a $300.00 refund out of the $700.00. It took a lot of requests to speak with a manager, John, and he was not helpful either. He listened to our story and said, "So, what are you looking to get out of this?" He said he would speak to Steve Michaels and get back to us. He never called back And we never saw another penny.
