Yesterday a service technician, Chris, came to understand why heat was not reaching into the primary bedroom in the corner of the house. He worked diligently to solve the problem. Apparently owners of company split and they no longer had records (i still have invoice). This week i had an emergency with my septic and have called numerous times and left multiple voice mails, all with no response. I even emailed and nothing. This is not an issue that can wait, so after 2 days of trying i reached out to a different company. I will no longer use A-1 again, and will be going with another company for all my future business. I find it very unprofessional to not return a phone call from an existing customer with an urgent issue.

Outstanding Expertise & Support!!…read more I cannot say enough good things about Steve, the owner of Big East Environmental. I had water damage in my attic and received quotes from multiple water damage/mold remediation companies -- ranging anywhere from $3K to $35K. Steve came to inspect the affected areas and gave me clear, expert advice not only on where remediation was needed, but also helped me choose the right company for the job. He went above and beyond -- recommending trusted painters/contractors, advising me on which dehumidifier to purchase, and even offering to meet with the remediation company I selected to ensure they followed proper procedures. He will also be performing a post-inspection and issuing a final clearance report to make sure everything is done to code and industry standards. His approach gave us peace of mind, valuable resources, and tremendous relief during a stressful situation. Steve's office manager, Linsey, was equally fantastic. She was professional, kind, and full of helpful tips for dealing with home damage situations. She managed to schedule me for an inspection with Steve on the same day I called -- outstanding service from start to finish! If you need mold inspection or environmental testing done right, I highly recommend Big East Environmental. They are thorough, honest, and truly have the homeowner's best interest at heart.

Less than TWO years ago, they installed a new compressor at our woman's boutique in Greenwich Connecticut. Now, for the SECOND time, it has completely failed. I contacted the manufacturer directly, who confirmed there's a FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY on the unit. Yet Gault refuses to honor the warranty or the contract. Instead of standing behind the equipment they chose and installed, they're washing their hands of it and trying to make me foot the bill again. This is not just bad service -- it's dishonest and unprofessional. They're more than happy to take your money, but when something goes wrong, they disappear. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Shoddy installation, zero accountability, and terrible customer service. You've been warned.

After some problems were discovered in the install process, Dennis and Water Dr worked with me to make the unexpected costs more reasonable. He then sent me a detailed invoice that included a warranty, easing any concerns I might have about future issues. He was positive and helpful throughout, answered all my questions and never seemed annoyed, rushed or frustrated by a first-time well-owning homeowner.
