I'm giving 4 stars because of the staff up front otherwise I had a great experience. I booked a massage the day before. I asked for an early afternoon time. The girl who answered said she could get me in at 2:45. I told her I had somewhere to be at 4 so that would be cutting it close. I asked if she had any other times. She said she was new and gave the phone to someone else. This girl said I could either come at 9 AM or 2:45. Not wanting to get up early on a Saturday I chose the 2:45 and again told the girl I had somewhere to be at 4 but it should be ok. She then said ok you are down for an hour massage at 2:45. I show up at 2:30 and the girl at the front says my appointment isn't until 3. I told her my situation. She just shrugged her shoulders and said the therapist doing my massage is on break so we would just have to wait and see if she gets back in time. My masseuse Marci got there at 2:55. First thing she asked was if I had filled out my paperwork since I was new. This perturbed me since the girl at the front that was sitting a few feet away from me and knew what was going on for he past 25 minutes could have had me do this. I told Marci what was going on and said I would just have to do the 30 minute. She basically asked me the pertinent questions so we could quickly get started and apologized. The other girl never uttered any sort of an apology. Ended up Marci was great and went as long as she could go before I had to leave. read more

I've had massages & different facial modalities here, & they've always been the best. Angela is always good at recommending what I need & the outcomes are always more than I expected. I attended for the first time as I received a gift card from my husband. Walked in and the staff was very nice, helpful, and informed me of everything per my three sessions booked and how the sessions were prioritized. The products are good, but be prepared for paying big prices. The Farmhouse Fresh products smell great, but wish they had more Whoopie Cream scent. Anyways, will go back again to start regular sessions with massage therapy as I had a bulging disk that created nerve damage and have issues with opening and closing my hands under stress or picking up heavy things. I come to this day spa often and it's because Leslie is so amazing! She's the only person I will get waxed by because, regardless of what you're getting waxed, she makes me feel completely comfortable. As most people know, waxing is typically not a comfortable experience, but Leslie does an amazing job to create a relaxing atmosphere. I also get the HydroFacial here and it's awesome! So relaxing and it's done a great job improving the texture of my skin (I have lots of sun damage!) I recommend that if you're new to the area, check this place out and ask for Leslie, she will take good care of you! read more

I was so excited to get a gift card here so I booked an appointment 3 weeks prior for a facial, massage and a small cupping session. Worst facial I have ever had!! Maybe it lasted 20 minutes from the most unprofessional lady who didn't speak a word once.. I was just ready to get off her table. Incredibly half ass effort. The cupping lady did great but apparently they just "forgot" about the message and sent me on my way because they were busy.. this is a Tuesday afternoon.. I told the front desk so they didn't charge me and I didn't even get an apology or anything. She didn't even try to find out why or offer to reschedule it. I unfortunately still have over half my gift card to use here because they already have our money but after that I will not be returning. This place is fantastic! The staff is very friendly and my massage therapist was awesome. I needed some deep tissue muscle work on my lower back and she showed her strength by pushing all the knots out and relieving a ton of soreness. Go for 90 minutes and you'll find yourself dozing (in my case snoring) and drifting off to your happy place. Thanks Angela and staff! I'll be back every time I'm in town. read more

Do yourself a favor and save your money. First Place for 'The Worst Massage in Abilene." My HOUR "massage" was about 40 minutes of an employee rubbing my back like my kids would. Then, step out of room for five or six minutes- she apparently had better things to do, (leaving me with no warm blanket, hot towel, etc.). Her texting or emailing on her phone was much more important than ME, the paying customer! I raved and ranted when I got back to my office, only to find the girls in my office knew about their sub-par service!! I'll take the blame for not doing my homework...Save yourself the "experience" of this place. read more

My husband was sweet and got me a spa package and I WAS really looking forward to spending a relaxing day here but they were NEVER ABLE TO GET ME IN FOR ALL OF MY SERVICES in one day. In the end I said screw it and just got an extended massage and mani pedi. The gal that did my mani and pedi was nice BUT it was awful. She did not soak my hands in water to soften up my cuticles! All she did was apply cuticle softener that did NOT soften it and picked at it. My polish was bad. She missed all the corners! Ugh. If that wasn't frustrating enough I can hear the employees having conversations amongst themselves about non work related issues. It was UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT RELAXING FOR A Spa! My massage was by TANA or whatever her name is. It was suppose to be 1.5 hour stone massage but turned out to be inconsistent and more like an hour and ten minutes. It seemed like she was in a hurry to go somewhere because by the time I got done checking out she was in the parking lot on her phone heading some where. I am a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician so I know how a salon/spa should be ran. Been in the industry for 7 years. I expected more from this place. All in all WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. I was born and reared in Abilene, but I live in Houston (and spent 10 years in Dallas), so I know service and believe it is important to pamper yourself. And, to be fair and transparent, I will disclose that I personally know the owner of Absolute Perfection. But choosing to writer this review is my choice. I was in Abilene for several weeks and the hot, good-ol' West Texas climate was killing my skin! My skin felt very, very dry. I was lathering on moisturizer every morning and night! So I called up to Absolute Perfection and scheduled a facial with Angela. I have very sensitive skin and cannot tolerate many of the conventional products, but I discussed my concerns with Angela and had a great facial! She was very thorough and the experience (even the extraction step) was relaxing. Additionally, I was very pleased with the value. A high quality 60-minute sensitive skin facial for $65 ... I'll pay that every day! The spa is easy to find, has good parking and each room is quite large and has a very nice and relaxing decor. For you guys out there ... My 74-year-old dad needed a massage and so I sent him to Theresa, as I knew several friends who went to her. He said she was "great" and helped relieve a lot of the stress he had in his back from doing some recent work around the house. All and all, go and pamper yourself! read more

Went in for a facial, and microdermabrasion was being pushed on me..I said let's do relaxing facial and look at my skin to determine treatments that were needed for future visits..she turned on light for about 5 seconds and never even responded to what treatments might be helpful. The facial was fair, but she left the room while letting the mask work for probably 20 minutes..you pay for 50 minutes and end up getting 30 minutes of a mediocre facial..I could have used more massaging on neck area or hands and arm massage..never had one leave without filling time that's been paid for..wouldn't recommend this place for facials! read more

I have been going to Absolute Perfection for a few years now. I have never had a bad experience there. Angela has always done my facials, she knows when I need a microdermabrasion or just a peel or facial. Always have felt very confident in going to her and her treatment of my skin. Leslie has been doing my massages, I feel so relaxed afterwards, she has been very professional during the whole time. Only has left the room for me to disrobe and afterwards to get dressed. Does not rush thru the massage or leave room during it. I have always been happy with any service I have received there and treated very well read more

Worst spa day ever. My own bathroom would have been better. I scheduled 3 services. Mani/pedi, facial and Deluxe therapeutic body treatment. I arrived as requested 15 min early to an empty reception desk. Waited for more than 5 minutes before someone came to welcome me. Then asked to wait for my "scheduled" appointment time of 9:00 am. 9:10 rolls around and the Only manicurist Sharon asks if I am ready. I told her I was asked to come early to fill out paperwork. So she throws up her hands and walks around to find some scribbled on wrinkled paper and a clip board. But could not locate a clip board. So she gave me a dirty black binder to write on. I quickly complete both pages and walk back to the reception desk. Where now it looks as though the employees have gathered around to talk about personal matters. Sharon takes my to a "room" smaller than a cubicle and asks what color I want as she stands in front of them expecting me to just point to the one I think I might like because I could not see around her. No spa chair here only a dirty DUSTY fake leather chair that looks more than 20 years old. And where does she expect me to put my feet, in a plastic tray of lukewarm dirty looking water with a base on wheels separate from from the chair so you have to hold yourself up and keep pulling your feet in so you do not slip out out it. The most uncomfortable position ever! Then she looks at my feet and tells me I have moles on my feet which are clearly flat and unchanging freckles just as I have all over my body. So, yes I am very well aware of them. She clipped my toe nails as though this was her first time ever doing it. And then she proceed to place the clipped nail in the plastic tray of now cold water. She disappeared after each step for more than 5 minutes to do I don't know what. She was just so slow and lazy about it. The cubicle she was in was filthy with wires covers in dust everywhere and a fan that was inches away from hitting the wall. Then she did my finger nails that was just as unprofessional. She did not know how to get my prior gel polish off so she scraped and filed my nail bed down till it was painful. After that was over she told me I had time to use the sauna before my next treatment. What a joke that was! It was as small as a shoe box that you had to almost crawl into, hidden behind a cutian. Is was smaller than my shower. There was so heat involved what so ever. Tiny remote was broken but there was "light therapy". If you believe that sort of nonsense. And music did not work. But you could hear everything through the paper thin walls of everything going on in the other rooms and the staff carrying on with personal conversation. After waiting 20 minutes my facial, which was with Amanda, she took me to a room and asked me if I had any skin care concerns. Oblivious that she did not bother to look at the paperwork I had already filled out. She left me to undress and wear a towel wrap, which was filthy dirty with leftover wax and other stickiness from prior clients. She returned after 15 minutes to apply two creams neither of which she told me what she was using. Leaning over my face chewing some some sort of hard candy and what felt like spitting on my face. She left the room saying she would be right back and then left me for 30 minutes while my face burned. She came back in a hurry and quickly wiped that off my face and gave me a dirty robe to wear to my body treatment but first I had to wait in the not hot sauna box again. The body treatment was nothing like the website description it was a excruciatingly painful deep tissue massage along with mumbling and GUM chewing by Niki. It was a mess, she had no idea what she was doing and was definitely rushed to leave because she was out the door right after me. I was so upset that I had wasted so much of my time and money on this terrible day. The women who charged me did not even say thank you. I'm sorry ladies of Absolute Perfection, but when I was there a couple of weeks ago I was very disappointed. It was unprofessional and far from relaxing. It virtually mirrored the experiences of other low-star reviewers. The ladies were (mostly) so sweet, but I left more stressed than when I arrived. I cannot honestly say I would ever go back, nor would I recommend it. I'll be finding a different day spa in Abilene, but I will be careful to read the reviews next time. read more

am not going to say this was the worst experience I have had at a spa, but then again I have not had a bad one until now. My husband gave me a day at the spa just because and after seeing the cost for what I received I was really disappointed. The massage was ok, except I felt bruised the next day. I told her she could use pretty hard pressure, but I have never felt bruised for days afterwards, and I have had some deep tissue sports massages before and the entire time of the massage I could hear the washer and dryer going, speaking of which, I guess they have never heard of fabric softner when I comes to their robes and wraps. The facial was good. The most relaxing part of the trip and the products that came with my package seem to be working as I was told they would. The manicure and pedicure were subpar. We moved here from Bangkok where manicures cost about 5$ American and they were much better. She put the cuticle lotion on them and preceded to push them back with an orange stick I now have 3 fingers with torn cuticles that are tearing and hurt and 4 that are red at the bed and hurt too, and the pedicure, she brought a lukewarm tub of water in, pulled out some ancient battery operated thing to smooth the bottom of my feet. I say ancient because I bought one just like it for my mother in the 80 s. I am not even sure that any of the tools were sterilized. She was very nice, and it was her last day there because she was moving away, so maybe she was just short timing and not concerned with her work. I was too have lunch. I was told we have red and white wine, which do you want? I said neither, water will be fine and I got a small bottle of water. The lunch was, I think, a scoop of chicken salad on a plate with 5 crackers around it and a bowl of fruit. This lunch was served to me at the same table I had just had my nails done at. This spa, and I use the term loosely, does not have any sort of spa atmosphere. I had to walk through the front reception area to go get my facial. Glad there weren t any people in there waiting. We lived in Houston for over 12 years and have had a quite a few spa days and for the same price as this it was relaxing and enjoyable, this really wasn t. read more

I should have put zero stars. Worst experience ever. I was very stressed out and exhausted from work and some personal issues. My husband spent a lot to schedule me a mani/pedi, full body massage (which I had never had), and a so-called facial massage. The body massage was first and was horrible. Never having had one, she told me that I would need to drink a lot of water the rest of that day and for a few days for reasons I really can't remember. Anyway, she hurt me terribly. I asked her several times to back off and that it was really hurting. She said she was really backing off, but that I really needed this and would feel good later. Why I didn't just leave, I will never know. I hurt everywhere by the time I left the spa. Next to the facial. She messaged for a couple of minutes. Then put some stuff on my face, left the room with me lying on a hard table with no pillow, and didn't come back for at least 15 or 20 minutes. I was very uncomfortable, but couldn't really turn over onto my side because of the gunk on my face. My back was already hurting from the massage and lying there made it much worse. She finally came back and took the stuff off my face and said that was it. I then went for a pedi. There was no comfy spa chair. Just a chair - not comfortable, couldn't lay my head back as it had a short back, and nothing to prop my legs on. She rolled up on a rolling stool and put my feet into a pan full of water. When she picked my feet up and propped them on the rolling stool, if I relaxed my leg at all, it pushed the stool back. So I had to hold my leg still while she did each foot. I was already hurting and more stressed than when I came, but my husband had paid and I stayed. Then she did my nails. I have never had "fake nails". I have always had strong beautiful nails of my own. She shaped my nails and painted them and then put some kind of acrylic stuff on them that she said would keep them looking good longer. It ruined my nails. She also didn't tell me that I couldn't take it off. That I'd have to go pay someone to get it off. Maybe I should have known that, but I didn't and she knew I had never had anything done to my nails. Never even wore polish. That was in April, and they are still thin and breaking even though I had the acrylic taken off only a few weeks after she did it. She massage made me physically ill. I tried to drink tons of water, but it didn't help. I had pain all in my body and was weak and felt more stressed and exhausted than I did before I went. It took literally a month for my back, shoulders, neck, and thighs to stop hurting and feeling lumpy. I only weigh about 125, so none of this was due to being overweight or in poor health. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more
