The story line was easy to follow and the actors were spectacular. Parking is available off street or across the street at the Phoebe's lot for a fee. There is a concession stand and bar inside that offers candy, snacks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks (even a special creation for whatever play is showing). There are also memberships offered if you think you'll go to multiple shows. A great experience! I hope to return soon!

As a regular theatre-goer here in Rochester, I was SUPER excited to finally check out Syracuse Stage. They do co-productions with our LORT theatre Geva, and I have heard great things. The venue itself is classy, well maintained, with reasonable prices on everything from snacks to wine to tickets. Every staff member I interacted with was SO friendly. Special shoutout to the AMAZING box office staff! I had a conflict come up for my original show date and they exchanged me into a new date - no questions asked. At many theatre's, you have to pay an exchange fee or exchanges are only allowed for subscribers. That kind of accommodation will keep me coming back the next time they are doing a can't miss show (helllllo Amadeus next season!) Thank you to them for being so helpful and easy to work with! Even though the show I saw was not my cup of tea, I look forward to coming back and deeply appreciate them bringing high level talent to the upstate/central NY area. We are SO lucky to have a rich theatre scene, and Syracuse Stage is worth the special trip up from Rochester if there's something you're keen on seeing!

Not only did they have a live orchestra performing the music, but they had quality vocal mikes, lighting and a great sound system. Plus, the chairs are very comfortable. The playhouse performs year-round with a new show about every 2 months. Some are new, some are edgy, some are humorous, and some are classics.

There was ample parking all around, there was free food left over from the VIP tent, cash bar, great seating (three rows of stadium seating for an intimate gathering) and some table seating in the front, and great performers. I was very excited to learn of the venue and hear some great live music to continue to great energy of the jazz festival. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the seats were comfortable and were not cramped -- we were in the second row left. We felt like we were on stage. I didn't use the ladies' room or visit the bar, which I was told is a beautiful copper bar. 4 stars instead of 5 because the act itself was not of the caliber I expected. Perhaps it was a one-off. Sone people lineup before the doors open, but all seats are reserved so it's not needed. There is a bar at the back of the showroom that serves a variety of drinks.
