Seating: Small indoor space with some outdoor seating. Not a huge lounge, but enough to post up and enjoy either inside or outside. Vibes: Located right near the heart of Brickell, it gives you that mix of city hustle outside and chill, slow-down energy inside. This little shop has been in the same place for over 10 years. Before Cigar Aficionado The Magazine, cigars were seen as exotic, foreign, and were considered smelly and to taste terrible. The perception stemmed out of poor control by retailers, who would sell old cigars, dry cigars, broken cigars, and sometimes just bad and moldy cigars. No wonder not many people liked them. To be able to find a good cigar, if you were brave enough, you needed to know where to go to find a fresh cigar or a shop where cigars were stored properly. Absolute Cigar was the shop. In the Brickell/Downtown area, it may still be the shop to go to. Whenever I am around I don't hesitate to stop by and say hello to those that have been providing the best cigars in the area for the past 10 years. So what do you find here? Tomey at the Brickell location was externally rude. This guy accused me of not buying my pardon cigar. Publicly embarrassed me and threw my keys outside. Also called the cops when the cops came they said they were busy and couldn't help him so he threatened me saying if he sees me in public he will harm me. This was extremely embarrassing. I will pursue civil action as recommended by law enforcement. This guy runs a cigar shop like it's a hooligans bar. You can tell he hates his job. The guy was not even visible when I arrived, he comes out of not where screaming yelling and throw my keys on the outside ground damaging my key fobs. read more

I went to Absolute Cigar shop near downtown Miami in the Burger King strip mall off SW 8th Street. They had a great selection of cigars at great prices. The woman was very helpful and knowledgeably. There's plenty of free parking but watch out for the Burger King drive through traffic. read more

Stopped in there the other night and met Mauricio. Very knowledgable guy and pleasant staff. After purchasing a couple smokes they gave me a couple new boutique cigars to try as well. I reciprocated and gave him a cigar from Mabel Gomez from the Gomez-Sanchez cigar family. Mabel is a 3rd generation roller and makes very tasty cigars in Cape Coral where I live. She's got the knack putting together excellent tasting smokes. read more

Go there if you want your car to be booted. There is a scam "company" more than shady who is waiting to steal your money booting you car. Even if you shop there you will pay $90 because they'll put "illegally"locks on your wheels. Even showing your receipt to them. They made a life from that scam more than from what they sale. People in the know in Miami only buy cigars from this old fashion shop. The owner is a very knowledgeable Cuban gentleman who is so very patient and happy to explain the intricacy of a fine cigar. I asked someone sitting out in front of a Starbucks down the street where I could get a good cigar. They mentioned 2 places across the street but said they were tourist traps. They said, "if your willing to walk 100 yards, turn left and next to the Burger King is the best little cigar shop in town". Being the thrill seeker I am, I ventured on over, walked in and at 1st I admit, was a little intimidated with the crowd and the cigar selection but quickly felt at home and at ease when I struck up a conversation with a few guys sitting in comfy leather chairs smoking cigars. I asked them to help me pick a good medium cigar, and proceeded to sit for 2 hours enjoying the ambiance and conversation. I never once felt out of place or uncomfortable and the guys made an "out of towner" feel welcome. The cigar selection was outstanding and if you crave a cocktail with your cigar, walk next store to the liquor store. Thank you George, Mauricio, Joe, Ron, Pete the cop, and John the cell phone guy. While the selection of cigars is pretty extensive the place is rundown and dirty. There is limited seating and the place was as smoky as any place I have ever been and there were only two people smoking. The owner seems to be a nice elderly gentleman although he moves very slowly. What turned me off is that while I was perusing the cigar selection the owner sneezed next to me without covering his nose and snot flew everywhere. I was grossed out and left immediately after buying a couple of cigars (wrapped in cellophane), I will not be going back to this establishment. Oh and the bathroom was a mess. read more
