AWESOME bike shop! The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely the best of all the bike shops in Sedona!

Personality can be a funny thing, but in business there is no room for one with attitude. Not sure who all these five star reviewers are, but I went in with my wife and 2 kids one day and just me and one kid another. Guys were the classic bike shop guys. You feel like you are taking up there time and are a inferior as an out of towner or sub par rider. Bikes where OK, but mine shifted poorly. Had to ask for a map and they forgot to give us a bike lock that was offered at the start, but the kid on day one was about 15. Great proximity to the park and just would use them again for that reason alone. Just set low expectations for the shop and enjoy the amazing terrain outside the door! read more

I have been to the other bike shops in the area, Absolute is the best no nonsense bike shop in the area.

Absolute Bikes is . . . Absolutely the best!! My son and I rented bikes from them for our first trail shredding adventure in Sedona. Staff were all super, bikes worked flawlessly and trail advice was spot on! What's even better, on our return trip, we got turned around and ran into one of their employees sporting a "bike patrol" jersey. Even though he was off work and enjoying his own ride, he guided us back to town and even lead us back via some awesome flow trails. I will definitely be coming back to the Absolute best bike shop in Sedona!! read more

Great staff, great rentals, great time. I manage a bike shop out in Boston and while on a trip to Sedona I thought it would be a good idea to get some trail time in. No reservation needed when I rented one of their premium full suspension bikes. The staff helped me pick what trails were the best for what I was looking for. I had a blast and when I come back I'd rent from them again. The bike had zero problems, shifted and braked perfect, they even set up the suspension to my weight before I took off. Helmet was included in the rental price and conveniently located a few minute ride from the trail head. I'm sending anyone I know who is heading out here in their direction. read more

Rented three bikes here for a family trip to Sedona over the weekend. Almost immediately my ex-wife decided she did not really want to ride so all three of us rode back to the shop. The bike shop gave us a refund for the bike we returned after only 10 minutes. So then my stepson and I went back out to the Bell Rock trail and rode around. I discovered that when I tried to really put power through the bike, like going up a hill that the rear derailleur would jump gears and sometimes the front derailleur would not shift down to the smallest front chainring so we rode back to the bike shop again and the one older guy there did a little adjusting of the gears. He then rode it around the flat level parking lot and pronounced it good. So we left and went back out riding. I found that the adjustment had improved the situation somewhat but the rear derailluer would still jump gears under heavy power. We continued riding anyway. So when we got back I mentioned that the bike was still not working 100% and the same older guy offered to refund the rental fee for that bike as well. So the whole thing only cost us one bike rental fee of $31,91 ($30 plus tax), 2 x $6.99 for water bottles, and $24.99 for a pair of bike gloves. This all was a decent deal but the reason I am only ranking this as three stars is the surly attitude of the older guy who seemed to be the senior person there. He never smiled and did not see interested in carrying on a conversation with a customer. read more

My girlfriend and I rented bikes from Absolute Bikes and had a great time. The rentals are reasonably priced and the staff was friendly. All rentals come with a helmet, pump, extra tube, and patch kit. They make sure to tune up the bikes before you leave with them. We were 20 minutes late returning our bikes from a two hour rental which wasn't a problem with the staff. The bike shop is also conveniently located pretty close to trails so you can get to riding right away. read more

Awesome bike shop with the best service and staff! They will get your hooked-up and on your way to a great day of biking.

We rented mountain bikes during our trip to Sedona. Excellent bikes, great customer service. All staff friendly and helpful. Easy access to nice trails, and they not only give you a map, they take the time to describe the trails, terrain, and degree of difficulty. read more

Rented a bike there last week and after they set it up for me I rode it around in the parking lot and everything seamed to be working fine. When I got to the trails and after about 15 minutes of riding the drop seat post stop working properly. The post kept falling down. When I brought it back to the shop and let them know about my bad experience with their rental, they told me that it was unfortunate. However, there was nothing they could do for me as far as refunding any part of my rental cost. FYI , I did not ask for a full refund, which is probably what I should have done. Instead I asked for a 20% discount on a tire that I needed and figured that would appease me and at the same time take them off the hook. Not much too ask after riding this bike like a beach cruiser up a bunch of hills right?? Wrong!! Manager told me, "that's unfortunately" and that I should have brought the bike back for repair. I explained to the manager that the trail was about 45 minutes from the shop and the seat post did not start acting up until about 15 min into the ride. Obviously, If I would have brought the bike back for repair, I would not have been able to ride much since it was an afternoon rental and had to be back in order to return the bike before the shop closed. Are you kidding me! Since then, just for kicks, I have spoken to a couple of other bike shops there in town and they both said they would have credited me something if not the whole rental cost of the bike if I so insisted. Basically, I have better things to do then to get upset on vacation about a lousy bike seat. Just so you know, if you go to this bike shop make sure you are aware that the condition of the bike in on you , not on them. Oh, one last thing, I have owned 2 business and now retired successfully from both of them. I can guarantee you that none of my employees would ever pull that one on a customer. What ever happened to standing behind your product , especially a rental. You can bet I will never stop in that shop again. That was really weak! Thanks yelp! read more

First rate bike shop. Friendly, helpful, and FLEXIBLE. Good bikes with solid components. Thanks Steve

I don't plan on breaking the 5-star streak. Everything about our experience was pleasant , helpful staff, quality bikes , and an amazing location. After being fitted for the right bike for a few minutes we were given a map , which they highlight for you based on the level of riding your looking to do. A one minute ride to the trailhead and your good to go. If your in Sedona and looking to rent a quality MTB make this your stop. read more

Absolutely the best mountain bike store in Sedona area and Flagstaff. Excellent customer service - everyone is greeted the minute they walk in the door. We rented mtn bikes and got great advice on local trails to ride. read more

A family of four, we rented 4 mountain bikes for a half day for $30 each, which included a helmet (to borrow) and a water bottle (to keep!) which was great as we'd each only brought one bottle that would fit in the bottle cage. Andy was careful to adjust the bikes as needed and make sure that we knew where the easy trails were, and even advised us on alternate routes when we asked about a particular destination. We will definitely return here when we are in town again. read more

These folks know what they are doing. Prompt and professional they had many great trails to talk about. I came out from CO in July and rented from them. The mountain bike riding in the area can't be beat, but this shop comes close! read more

Friendly, knowledgeable, service oriented staff! I showed up 10 minutes before they were closing with a fact finding mission. I had been doing research for a few months and finally made the decision to purchase a hardtail mountain bike. They pointed me in the direction of the 29er Rockhopper by Specialized. Great fit for me and what I use it for. I love this bike! I couldn't pick the bike up for weeks after purchasing, a member of the staff was so friendly that he offered to deliver the bike to me!! I was shocked by the information that every team member has and how friendly they are. I have asked them so many questions about maintenance, riding style, upgrade possibilities and local trails, without hesitation they have answered them thoroughly! I created an account on Yelp just to share my positive experience with anyone considering a place to shop for their biking needs! Thank you Absolute Bikes for your help! Matt read more

On vacation with my husband and we rented mountain bikes for 2 days from Absolute. They took good care of us and pointed us to some good trails. Especially appreciated when they listened as I swore I had one SPD cleat that wasn't releasing right and switched it out for me. read more

Very friendly and professional- I came in as a first-time mountain biker after years of road biking experience. They paid attention to all the details and set me up for an excellent ride. I will definitely come back here and ride again. read more

I adore the staff at both locations! I appreciate great customer service at a bike shop maybe more than most, because as a triathlete, I have a lot of things to buy/fix/fit. As a first time full distance Ironman competitor this past August, I had more nerves and anxiety over the bike portion of the race than anything else. I had much less stress, though, knowing the guys and gals at Absolute had taken great care of my bike. They not only tuned it for me, they took the time to show me things to make me a better cyclist. When I had questions, they allowed me to come back behind the desk and watch what they were doing, and always ALWAYS greeted me with smiles and friendly service. They knew my name after only one or two visits, and I feel like I'm among friends when I go there. When I crashed my bike, I trusted those guys to get it back into race shape for me, and they had it back to a perfect fit in no time. They do little things, like text you when your bike is ready if you prefer text messages. It's all about the customer there. I cannot say the same thing for other bike shops in the Sedona area. Some other places (Sedona Bike and Bean across the street, for example) treat you like you're a pesky tourist and you're definitely not "cool enough" if you don't ride a mountain bike. Whether you're a newbie or advanced, I recommend Absolute for all your bike needs. read more

THE place to go for knowledgable assistance and friendly help. Great selection of just about everything needed.

I traveled to Sedona and needed a flat changed. They did a good job at a fair price and got me on my way quickly. This is a well stocked shop. Anyone traveling to Sedona should check this place out. They are nice folks and shared a map with good rides in the area. If you're in Sedona go to this shop. read more

USED to be a great shop. NOW under new management and no longer honoring previous work. All the new parts they put on my bike 3 months ago are now apparently junk and should be replaced for just ... $275. read more
