Yes, you read right. It's a halal diner where I bought a cheese chips taco meal. There's no point…read morein even trying to put this place in any kind of logical category, so here's my best attempt at a description. Amazingly tasty, possibly heart destroying, food for under a fiver. You can't go wrong. This place really is great.

Where Kebab K-lub is now, there used to be a rather notorious Abrakebabra, which was rotten. Because of all this, I was quite dubious about eating in Kebab K-lub on the way home from a gig one evening, reminiscent as the restaurant was of the benighted Abrakebabra. I must admit that I was quite pleasantly surprised. Kebab K-lub is by no means the best purveyor of its eponymous food stuff in Dublin, but it isn't half bad, nonetheless. You wouldn't be going too far wrong to order a lamb schwarma from there. And it is certainly my preferred fast food eatery in Fairview (wouldn't be too far gone on Hillbilly's me. One thing that Kebab K-lub has that a lot of kebab places don't is plenty of seating, which is a plus. I'm not sure if Kebab K-lub is open as late as Hillbilly's, as you often hear people talking bout heading to Hillbilly's after Barcode but seldom if ever Kebab K-lub, but it is definitely open til one or two at night. So if you're just heading home from the pub of an evening, or maybe you just need some ballast before you hit the session after a match in Croker, Kebab K-lub hits the spot.

My husband and I are stumped by these reviews. Our dinner started with the owner not finding our…read morereservation. We spelled our, simple, brief last name numerous times. Finally, my husband leaned over him and pointed to it on the computer screen. Then we were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant with a horrific speaker thumping undefined "music" above us. The papadum were good, fresh. The condiments were not, one sickly sweet, the other a spicy and sweet attempt at lemon pickle. The beef kabab appetizer was unrecognizable. It reminded us of scrapple--chopped, mushy (you could mush your fork into it like mashed potatoes) ill-spiced shingles of mystery. It bore no resemblance to its description-- it wasn't grilled and it in no way resembled beef tenderloin. Or a kabob. It sat on a sweet sauce that begged the question, why? Entrees were ridiculously small , not seasoned properly or even as described, and do not come with rice -- for $25 each. The Naan was fresh and passable. Overall: This was not good food. The servers most looked confused. The owner/front of house person was not very hospitable. I hope there's some competition for this place, soon. There's a gaping hole in this culinary category.
