I decided to go to Dr. Cappa after reading positive patient reviews posted on doctor ratings sites. FIRST: He has a wonderful, gentle bedside manner. Sensing my anxiety (I was anticipating the procedure to be uncomfortable), he immediately put me at ease. SECOND: He did what needed to be done swiftly and with such skill that I didn't feel a thing! THIRD: Great staff. They were tightly booked when I called for an appointment. But understanding that I was in pain, they squeezed me into his schedule. FOURTH: The office is in a nice, stand alone house. It is NOT one of those mega-medical group with hundreds of doctors and staff. I like the personalized feeling of this doctor. Highly recommend Dr. Cappa.

On my second visit Dr. R's office manager was not present and another patient was there along with me. I felt my visit/re-examination was much too short and rushed. Dr. R told me that day that he was going to have his office manger contact my insurance company ASAP to try to get authorization for physical therapy and orthotics. He told me that his office manager would then call me to inform me what my insurance company approved. I never heard back from the office manager. I decided to see another podiatrist who correctly diagnosed my problem, stopped the pain, and fitted me for orthotics in 2 visits.

He was very helpful in explaining the root cause and how my foot works. I am feeling a lot better now that I am doing stretches and have orthotics. Also, it's worth noting that he helped advise me on what over-the-counter orthotics to try, since my insurance doesn't cover them. He even helped me to custom fit them to my feet with adhesive pads, during a follow up appointment. The first time I went the waiting room was very busy and the staff did seem a little stressed that day, but the next time I made sure to get an early morning appointment and everything was much better. I don't blame anyone for that. I just know that I prefer to go early when it's quieter.

I felt more like a cog in a machine than an individual patient. More importantly, it was impossible to get through by phone despite the call center's promise to return all calls. The doctors at Specialty Orthopedics are outstanding. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and…read moregenuinely take the time to listen. The medical care I've received has always been excellent, and the physicians are the only reason I continue coming to this practice. Unfortunately, the front office has been one of the worst experiences I've had with any medical practice. My interactions with the office staff have been consistently frustrating and, at times, upsetting. They often come across as rude, dismissive, and combative, making patients feel like they are a nuisance simply for calling the office. On one occasion, a staff member answered the phone by saying, "What do you want?" in an abrasive tone, which was completely unprofessional. Michelle, in particular, has repeatedly been difficult to work with and has come across as unkind and unwilling to help. Phone calls frequently go unanswered or are never returned, appointments have been scheduled incorrectly, and I've received conflicting information from the office on multiple occasions. Instead of helping resolve issues, interactions often create more confusion and unnecessary stress. It's incredibly disappointing because the physicians provide exceptional care, but the front office experience consistently falls far below that standard. I sincerely hope the practice addresses these concerns, as patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism from the moment they contact the office.

When I arrived, I noticed patients were waiting in the reception to see Dr. Bar-David. While I was waiting, I overheard Dr. Bar-David talking on his cellphone, telling someone that he is flying out to Israel Saturday night, and to make sure to have dinner ready. He then continued the conversation inside the examining room. While I waited, 3 more patients came in for appointments with Dr. Bar-David. I was finally called into an exam room at 10:40 AM, when a minute later, I was asked to leave the exam room by the nurse and told to wait outside. No sooner had I left the examining room and sat down than a patient who came in after me was called in to see Dr. Bar-David. He was seeing his existing patients first and having me wait when I had an appointment at 9:45 AM. At that point, I told the front desk to cancel my appointment and walked out at 10:47 AM. I called my insurance company and filed a grievance, just in case he files a claim for payment for services not provided. He is an inconsiderate and disrespectful doctor who has no consideration for patients' time.
