I'll admit it--I had assumptions about staying near the airport…read more I normally avoid airport hotels because in my head they're always too close, not that nice, and I have this irrational fear that I'm going to hear airplanes taking off and landing all night. And since this one is right in Kahului, I also thought... it's in town. How great could it really be? Well. Consider me slapped in the face by my own assumptions because this was pretty much the opposite of everything I expected. The room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable. I was on the ground floor, which I don't always love, but I still felt completely secure. And the biggest surprise? I couldn't hear the airplanes at all. Like... AT ALL. That alone impressed me. I honestly can't remember if I paid for parking, so I'm not even going to pretend I do. The pool area was really well maintained, and so was the lobby. I actually sat and hung out there for a bit because it was comfortable and inviting. They also have a coffee bar and a TV area, and when I stayed, the World Cup was playing, so there were a few people hanging out and watching together, but it wasn't rowdy crowd. And location-wise? This is where being in Kahului actually becomes a huge plus. Costco is right across the way, Krispy Kreme is nearby, and there are a bunch of food trucks around the corner on both sides of the hotel. You're also in a really central spot if you're planning to explore different parts of Maui instead of just staying planted at a resort. Convenience? Absolutely. Would I normally choose an airport-area hotel? Probably not. Would I stay here again? Yep. And apparently I need to stop judging hotels before I actually stay in them. Happy Traveling, Chass

I had an excellent stay here and would be happy to stay again next time I visit. Pros: Location - right next to airport. There are other restaurants, grocery stores, etc. within the vicinity but you'll need to drive. Friendly staff - even the cleaning staff greets you in the morning. Front desk staff was quick and efficient. Spacious, clean gym. Smith machine and pullup bar, heavy dumbbells (over 70#), Kettle bells, etc. Clean room and comfortable bed Free upgrade - my room was upgraded due to status (Gold) which was a nice touch. Cons: No free breakfast but they do have a small restaurant on-site offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, alcohol, coffee, snacks, etc. You can hear some planes so bring earplugs. You may also hear roosters in the early morning, but that is part of the experience. Embrace the island life.
