This builder and its office workers are a scam. They have no work ethic, professionalism, horrible customer treatment, terrible communication, poor quality work and poor quality materials installed in their new homes. They will charge high prices and install low grade materials on your property. This builder and his employees are a scam, they will try to stop you from checking the house while it is being built to prevent you from seeing the poor quality work and materials being installed in your future new home. They charged my neighbor $18,000 at the last minute at closing and then they blamed it on COVID. What builder do you know who buys materials while building a community of 30 homes? Then tell you that it will take approximately one day to complete. Then give you a contract to sign that says $32.50 per man hour. Then 3 guys show up. So you start off thinking it's going to take one day will cost 8 hours times $32 or $ 256. Surprise! It does take one day. But it takes 3 guys one day- ooops- that's $800.00! They talk about trucks and about sports and all kinds of stuff while actually charging ALMOST $100.00 per hour!! Wow- that's a lot of money to watch guys stand around and shoot the breeze. Venters left a pile of debris in the driveway of a rental home from Monday until Wednesday. The neighbors piled their debris on top in the driveway. Landscapers came by and piled their debris on top. Even though Vetners knew there was twice as much debris in the pile because they didn't haul it away in a timely manner- they thought it was perfectly fine to charge me to haul all the additional stuff. Then they were hired to clear out, clean up and make level a section of property and given a strict dollar amount not to exceed. They did not clear out, clean up and make level anything. Instead they tore out a huge section of overgrowth, destroyed some landscaping in the yard and left a huge mess. Then they wanted more money to finish. I paid then more money to finish but it still is not cleared out, cleaned up and level. Why? They need more money! They can't believe I thought it would look nice for the amount I paid! The owner of Venters told me that he knew it would not look the way we discussed because he wasn't using the proper equipment. But of course he didn't tell me this until AFTER he had billed me. I will never use this company again. They do a bad job then want more and more money to fix it. Stay away.

We absolutely adore our new home!  Our original home was built in 1983, but thanks to Essence of…read moredesign it looks and feels like a brand new dream home.  Essence of design expanded our entire house including the bedrooms, baths and closets.  They also added a half bath, his and her closets, mud room and back porch.  They also enclosed and extended our garage to incorporate a workspace and storage room. We replaced the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and added a fortified roof. The kitchen is amazing!  Infinity Cabinets replaced all our cabinets and they are all slow close.  We have a fancy coffee cabinet to hide our coffee maker and my favorite is the secret spice and cooking utensil cabinets.  The quartz countertops are the main attraction which are featured on a huge island that has hidden storage cabinets.  We worked with Wilmington appliance for all our kitchen appliances and Ferguson for our lighting and bath fixtures.  They were all wonderful!  The tile contractor also did amazing work.   Special thanks to many individuals at Essence, but especially Mike who did it all!  He specially designed and crafted the cabinets in our mud room and custom design our his and her closets.  Also thanks to Cassie who kept everyone organized.  Also thanks to some or our favorite people who helped all of this come to fruition - Eddie, Jay, Steve, Chrissy and Brian.  Also, thank you for being so kind to us and our overly friendly dog, Winston.
