When he replaced the joists he only put 9 so I had to call for him to return with the other joist. He never told me when he received final payment that he only replaced 9. Additionally, putting only 10 new joists left the decking uneven and the decking is popping up. He was hired to make my deck safe, I am not a contractor, I am a single mom and I feel very taken advantage of. After being so dissatisfied I checked what others would charge for the same work and it is 1500 on the low end and 3500 on the high end. So in addition to my deck boards now popping up, I was price gouged as well. Use this contractor at your own risk.

Considering myself to b an educated consumer, when the time came that part of the Home needed a…read morenew roof, I contacted a few roofers I had seen advertised or had seen their trucks out working. Ajecks happened to be 1 of the one's we had seen working and was impressed with the way The "team" worked together. They were actually working on 2 homes, side by side and my husband and I pulled over and watched them for awhile. The crews handled themselves impeccably. It was obvious they had worked together for sometime and knew what they were doing. Also, knowing nothing about the industry we tried to learn what we could prior to calling in any of the estimators. This is a very large property with several different sections and not all of this property was in need of new roofing. We had that checked prior to Even starting on this venture. So now the 4 estimators came to inspect our home. The architect had informed us of what to look for in the contract. Since I won't speak poorly of any worker Unless we had used him and his work was poor, I will only refer to the estimators as estimators, not by the name of their company. I will state however that all contractors invited to our home for this bid were companies. None were "fly by nighters". Two were scratched immediately since they found flaws with the roof on other parts of this property where we already knew none existed. Ajecks was the only contract that addressed everything we had been told to look for, even addressing something, albeit small no one else had noticed. This was a large job. The guy's were here for a good 10 days and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Andrew, the owner, kept Checking with us making sure we were satisfied with the progression. We laughed at how the neighbors would come by to watch the men at work. Upon completion the architect, Andrew and my husband inspected the job and the architect gave the work a huge thumbs up. So often In life people only "speak up" when they have a negative, never when things went well... so, to Andrew and the guys at ajecks, Thank you for such a beautiful job... and to my neighbors, the job is done, there's nothing to watch, at least for a few weeks until they start the driveway...

Ajecks replaced my roof about 2 months ago and it's with mixed feelings that I'm posting this…read morereview. Before going with Ajecks I received 3 quotes, 1 from RJ Miller for 4,500 which included a 10 yr warranty, $50 per sheet of plywood and drip edge. The 2nd was from a guy to lay a new roof on top of the old one and just replace any rot or weak spots for 3,300 and the last was from ajecks for 4,200 and $65 per sheet of plywood. I ended up going with ajecks because at the time the reviews on here were good, although there were only 2 but that was 2 more than most of the other places and Ajecks was willing to start within 48 hrs. The good: We negotiated on a Saturday and Charles L., yes the very same Charles L. that posted the 5 star review for Ajecks on here, I assume to run a little damage control as the more recent reviews are not as favorable, was on site the following Monday morning with his crew hard at work removing the old roof. I was extremely happy to see this as it was still winter and we were expected to get hit with snow later in the week. I called around 3 to ask how things were going and I was pleased to hear everything was done, not that my 1400 SF roof was anything crazy but having it wrapped up all while I was at work was a nice bonus. I returned home to an extremely clean site, all that remained was the temporary dumpster bag but being that they had no time to order a dumpster I understood this and the bag was picked up that Wednesday. The bad: Ajecks never pulled a permit to have the work done. I know this because I called haddon township building code official and she was never contacted. I asked if it could have been due to not wanting to hold up the work and she said most of the roofers she deals with come in after the work is started and get issued permits on the spot. So they just didn't do it. And it's important because most people when buying a home with a new roof want to see that it was installed correctly and inspected so not having that hurts the value of the work, not as far as Ajecks is concerned but as the home owner it matters and it matters for any warranty claim so no permit / inspection = no warranty. I went with ajecks because I was told all the rot would be taken care of, that's why I wanted a complete removal and not a patch and overlay. No shingle company will back up the 50 year warranty if the shingles are installed over old shingles or rotted wood so I was willing to pay the extra cost of plywood to make sure it was all removed. Needless to say I was surprised and not happy to see that there was a fair amount of rotted wood still under my brand new roof. Oh and I could see this because no drip edge was installed, something that was included in RJ Millers quote but apparently not in Ajecks.... How do you not instal a drip edge? It's not a shed roof it's my home. No drip edge if nothing else looks unfinished and pretty much like crap since the end of the wood is exposed. I called and complained and told them I would not pay until the rot was fixed. Charles L. accused me of being a liar basically so I had go up on the roof and take pictures. I don't like to complain, in fact this is the 1st negative review I have left online but 4,400 is a lot of money to spend to not have a job done correctly. Andrew handled it professionally and sent Charles back out to lift up the new shingles and replace the rotted wood, which he did the next day. Unfortunately he only replaced half of the rotted wood. So I called Andrew again and he assured me he would come out and handle it and that this type of thing never happens. I trusted Andrew and did not want to hold up payment over what seemed like a minor issue and like I said he gave me his word that the issue would be fixed. That was the last time I heard Andrew. My neighbor went with RJ Miller, his roof looks great and they installed a drip edge and even put in new gutters at no extra cost. I went with Ajecks and still have rotted wood, I have no drip edge and the best part is my gutters were detected from the house at both edges, held up by 2 screws in the middle of the roof as a result of the 24 inches of snow we were hit with a few weeks prior and Ajecks didn't even bother to just screw them back in, forget replacing them and when I asked I was told that would an additional 500-800, new sky brackets and this and that. I had plenty of brackets and climbed up and reattached them myself. Conclusion: I should have gone with RJ Miller. Ajecks didn't do the worst job I mean the shingles stayed on after some bad wind storms and there are no leaks but it wasn't the best job either. And for pretty much the same price, actually cheaper when you consider everything, I could have done better with my money. Pictures show the rot, the wood that was removed that Charles L said wasn't there when I complained the 1st time and the gutters the way they left them, even after 2 visits and a less than satisfied customer's experience

Josh from Emmons came out while I was away and told my wife that he found the leak. He also said that our dimensional shingle roof was not installed properly 18 years ago when the house was built, which was why the roof was leaking, and that a new roof would cost $4K. Upon returning from my business trip, I called Josh and asked him to come back out, which he did. I asked him to explain how the roof wasn't initially installed correctly and he went on to say that because they didn't cut any of the shingles, the edges of the shingles were causing a channel every other row for water to flow. He continued, stating that Emmons starts the first row with a full shingle, the second with a 2/3 shingle and the third with a 1/3 shingle and repeat that pattern. If this is the case, then they'd be creating more channels for water to flow, but I digress. What a bunch of BS. Then Josh said it would cost $4K to replace only the front slope of the roof over the main structure - not the main structure's rear slope or both slopes over the garage. I asked why he would suggest replacing only a portion of the roof when it was not properly installed in the first place and also questioned what the aesthetics would look like. He (amazingly) agreed and said he would measure/remeasure all roofing surfaces and provide another price, which came to $16K. BTW, while on the roof he was stomping around like an elephant because I could easily hear him from the first floor. Was he trying to damage it? Ken Morton & Sons also came out while I was away. They inspected the attic but couldn't find a leak. What they did find was flexible ductwork that appeared to be leaking condensation, so they told my wife they quickly repositioned and adjusted it to stop the leak. However, I was not convinced that that was the cause after speaking with Josh at Emmons so I asked Ken to come out and inspect my roof from above. One of his guys came out, inspected the roof and said there was no indication of any leaking. Ken called me afterwards and said that he'd love to replace my roof but the ductwork was the cause of my ceiling stains - not the roof. Since then, which has been ~6 months, and after more than one gale force windy and rainy storms no additional stains have appeared in our ceiling. In summary, Josh from Emmons is the owner's daughter's boyfriend who looked and sounded like he never stepped foot on a roof before his future father-in-law give him the job. He just tried baffling me with his BS and, worse, he lied about finding a leak and tried to sell us, first, a partial roof replacement and then a full roof replacement - both of which we didn't need. Josh just wanted to make a sale. He obviously thinks he smarter than John Q. Public and has no interest in wanting to help people. Therefore, please consider Ken Morton & Sons if you have a roofing need.

We monitored the basement very carefully and saw that no water was dripping in anymore and so the sump pump never went on. Today, 11/2024 we are in the process of a home sale and the buyers inspection company told us that the sump pump was broken and needed to be fixed or replaced before we could sell. I called Mike at Enviropro several times and got no answer. I finally drove 30 minutes to his office address which is actually his house and he came to the door. I explained my situation and showed him my receipt. I told him the home inspector tried it and stated that it looked like the sump pump had never been used, but would not go on when he tested it. This is coming from an unbiased home inspector hired by the people buying our house. Mike said that he was glad that I came to him before going to a plumber, because he stated "HE WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT". He came the next day and came right in, trying the pump and seeing the the inspector was correct. A pump put in by Enviropro and never used, was broken and not working. It was probably flawed from the beginning. Without any discussion Mike went to his truck and got a brand new replacement. I thanked him and asked for a receipt or a statement showing it was replaced to give to the buyers of our house. He completed a receipt and then told me that will be $ 397.50. I WAS STUNNED. I said you never discussed any money when I went to your house, nor did you mention any payment before installing at my house. You acted like it was a bad part and in your words "YOU WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT". I then asked if we could come to a negotiated price and he said no, I need to be paid now. I was very upset at the way he conducted his business and how he misled me until he completed the job, but I paid him the entire amount and asked him to leave my house. He could have been more forthright and then I could have decided whether or not I wanted to use him or get a better price from another company. He acted all along as if he would back up his work and again his words "MAKE IT RIGHT". He is a scam artist and should not be trusted. I thought he would back up his work and honor his word, but instead I got taken by con man. Think long and hard before hiring this company, because you never know what the final result or bill will be until they actually complete the job.
