Very annoyed I just paid $210 for this poorly led feeding therapy session. After being rescheduled…read moreby them twice (one the day right before our appointment) we were assigned to a 3rd therapist. That was frustrating but out of desperation we decided to continue. I jokingly said to one of their staff "I swear, don't call me again to reschedule!". She said she understood why I wasn't pleased. We arrived there on time & it appeared my child's notes were not thoroughly read through because I was asked all the same questions I already filled out. Minus the sensory questions that I'd asked they send to me but never received. I'd also explained our history with the prior place not being a good fit, didn't equip us with any tools to take home & practice, didn't give advice on what to try at home, didn't guide us on what food to bring to session etc. Was told that they were "different" and they also provided food, GREAT. Well after driving 40 mins in traffic, and missing half a day of daycare to be here, within the first 5 mins of the actual session I was turned off & ready to leave. You'd think the first thing the therapist would do right before the session started is wash her hands right? No. She never did. Then this lady brought a dirty high chair into the room. I mean, dusty, very visibly dirty & instructed us to sit my toddler in there. I quickly mentioned how dirty it was. She comments "oh I guess it wasn't cleaned" and proceeds to use Lysol wipes on the high chair surface, then starts placing the food intended for my toddler on the wet Lysol wiped surface! I stopped her and wet some paper towels to wipe over it, then I washed a clear table top mat they had & placed it over the surface. Def not my preference to use this mat, but I didn't want my kids food making contact with Lysol chemicals. The feeding therapist then starts placing crunchies and melties & raisins on the table top...so this is the "food" I'm paying for after sharing with you weeks beforehand what my child eats? She then starts playfully blowing on my child's food through a veggie chip straw, to move it around & entice her to eat and all I kept thinking is I hope this woman doesn't have covid, rsv, or the flu. Some food dropped on the floor and she'd pick it up and kept palming it in her hand, or place it back on the table to the "side". Or she'd try to separate the food she's eating and touching from that of my toddlers on the small high chair table top that clearly does not allow for much food separation. Then would use the same hand that handled the food that dropped on the floor to touch my toddlers food on the high chair. Not hygienic. We were both staring at her in utter disbelief. I know kids get messy when eating but wasn't told to bring a change of clothes because things could get significantly stained. I'd also told her I'd dressed my toddler in school clothes since we'd be dropping her to daycare afterwards. She dropped a large glob of green food coloring, again meant to "entice participation", into a leaky water bottle that stained my toddlers clothes & made me frequently intervene to wipe the areas making contact with her clothing. This whole session was eye opening in a bad way, disappointing, not hygienic & uncomfortable and we begrudgingly discussed a follow up session with her afterwards, knowing full well we had no true intentions of returning. I intentionally did not disclose names here to save them some face, but that $210 bill afterwards truly pissed me off as it was my money completely wasted. After sharing our intent to not continue a day later, the therapist called me but I shared I was in the middle of a work meeting & asked if she could call me back in 30 mins but she never did. I was a nervous wreck in that session & my hubby and I hated our experience from booking to execution. It was not worth the money or the stress. So much was wrong in that session I immediately kicked into helicopter mom mode & it just defeated the whole purpose.

Two of the three staff psychiatrists determined that he did not have dementia and shouldn't be on the drugs. It took numerable emails and phone calls to Christian Health management including the CEO, Medical Director, VP of Mental Health, Heads of Social Services and Nursing to get him out of this hellhole. And he lost 17 pounds in 40 days. Ramapo Ridge drugs patients, they don't treat them. Don't ever let one of your loved ones go there. They should have their license revoked. And I have reported them to the New Jersey Department of Health.

I was only permitted to visit 1 hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. They could not get his medications for paranoia to work. I told the nursing staff he was in distress two days in a row. His belly was distended. I was ignored. On the third day they did a routine blood test and sent him to the emergency room. He was in acute kidney failure and severe malnutrition. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the shape he was in. Nothing but skin and bones. He was only 70 yrs old. My husband died after 10 days in the hospital. He was not responding to any treatment, and I thought it best to stop his suffering and use hospice.
