He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and based on other reviews I'm would hope he does good work. My…read morecomments here are only about pricing, not quality. I requested a quote to replace dead grass with decorative rock in a small yard--about 750 sq ft (roughly 37 ft by 20 ft). His estimate came in at about $2,600. To understand the cost, I called local rock suppliers. Rock runs about $71 per ton, plus $75 delivery, and around a 10% fuel surcharge. For the 8-10 tons most companies quoted, that puts materials at roughly $900. Barrier/tarp material is around $100, so I estimated about $1,100 total for materials. Since he said the job would take about a day: removing the remaining grass, laying barrier, capping sprinklers, and spreading rock that means the remaining $1,500 of his quote would be labor. That number surprised me, because it made his total price about 65% higher than other quotes I received for the same amount of rock and the same scope of work. I will be going with another vendor because his price was over $1,000 more than the others. That said, he was polite and professional, and I can't comment on the quality of his work only the cost. I'm sharing this to help other customers make informed decisions. I recommend getting a few quotes for comparison. Hopefully this feedback also helps him stay competitive, because he seems like someone people would want to hire.

My wife and I recently moved into our new house, which had no landscaping in the backyard. In our…read moresearch for a landscaper, we found Common Ground Landscaping and worked with Tim Noble, Common Ground's owner. Tim is an exceptional landscape contractor. From beginning to end, Tim did what he said he would do. He helped us come up with the design, gave us a fair estimate, then proceeded to build it without interruption. His work included construction of our back wall, fireplace, stone work, pavers, barbeque island, tile work artificial grass. The quality of all of his work was outstanding. If you are interested in finding a highly-qualified contractor who does outstanding work, I highly recommend Tim Noble of Common Grounds Landscaping.

I wanted to revamp my front yard, and I wanted a river bed with some drough tolerant plants installed. I had a picture of what I wanted the river bed to look like, and Tim exceeded my expectation and more. He and his crew artfully crafted this river bed where it is not just shallow rocks being laid on top, but the area was dug out rather deep to create natural curves all throughout. Tim clearly has an eye for outdoor aesthetics, and he is also very knowledgeable about what plants should or should not be planted depending on the time of the month. As an avid gardener, that solidified his reputation in my book. He even fixed and replaced all the irrigation lines to my already established plants without me even realizing. I mean, what a great guy. He is licensed, insured/bonded, and his work speaks for itself. Thank you Tim for making my vision comes to life!
