They have parking all around the outer area of the mall. We were there on Sunday, having lunch at the Red Robin. After lunch we decided to walk around the mall. It's a nice size mall. They have a Macy's department store, a nice sized Daiso store, a very small Miniso, and many other stores. I expected the mall to be full of people but it was quite the opposite. There was barely anyone there. It's was a hot day outside and most people like to come to the mall and cool off. I think the mall was empty because they did not have the Air Conditioner running at all. It's so hot in there. How do you expect people to come and shop if it's hot inside? It was in the 90's outside and shopping here was just uncomfortable. I wanted to get a cold iced tea from Starbucks. We walk the that counter and they were closed. How disappointing. The only good things we experienced was the Daiso and the Mini Cat Town Ceter. I will probably never come back here again. There are way too many other malls in the South Bay that have excellent cooling systems.

Parking was easy to find on a Monday morning, although I can see it being crowded on weekends because of all the events posted that go on. The walk is really short, but the views, partial shade, and animals that hang around the area make up for it.

There are some big stores in the shopping center even though the center is small. There's a large Safeway, CVS, and a Fitness 19. There are smaller corporate stores like Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Baskin-Robbins. Then there's even smaller stores like H Salt Fish and Chips, Century Dry Cleaners, several clothing stores including San Jose Blue Jeans, a laundromat, Mount Pleasant Bottle Shop, Pho Lam, and Mount Pleasant Barber Shop. One night every year is special to many residents of the East San Jose and Alum Rock areas, It's called Hot San Jose Nights. After attending a show at the Fairgrounds during the day, everyone heads over to park their cars at the Mt Pleasant Center. They hang out talk about their rides and socialize with car clubs from around Northern California. There's rarely any problems and the array of classic cars, muscle cars, low-riders, and bombs is amazing! Close your eyes and imagine walking through rows of restored and partially restored cars while you're listening to tunes of the 50s and 60s.And if you're from that area... You'll see a lot of people that you knew from Elementary, Middle, and High School. You'll reminisce the past, you'll be amazed how much everyone has changed, and you will see old friends, their families, the cars, it's just amazing night! So if you're in the area of East San Jose stop by the Mount Pleasant Ctr. and patronize the small businesses there. And when you go there ask about Hot San Jose Nights. The plaza has a US Bank, a BonFare Market, AK Kitchen, and various service related businesses. The plaza is always clean, with lots of parking. The plaza seems to lack an anchor business. I come here for BonFare Market, and accept that the prices are high. It's more like a convenience store than a market. I think most people just drive out to the nearest shopping center. I usually come here in the late afternoon, and it's always quiet.
