The shipping fee was reimbursed and also credited if I decide to purchase another vehicle. I understand things happen and I don't blame the Fayetteville store. I blame the corporation and the process. That being said I do feel that I will give Carmax a second chance. Original post - I reserved a car 2 weeks ago that was to be shipped from Ohio to Fayetteville. The delivery window has come and gone and I still can't get an update. Shipping fees are non-refundable even if the car hasn't moved. I feel like I've been scammed.

    I paid $199 on 4/13/26 to have a 2024 KIA Telluride shipped from FL to Fayetteville, NC location. I…read morescheduled an appointment to test drive the vehicle today, 4/27/26. However, to my disappointment the vehicle was not in the condition pictured online. It had multiple areas with chipped paint on the front bumper, around the windows, and top of the vehicle. It has a large scratch on the plastic above the tire on the driver side going down the bumper. I questioned the salesman why this was not documented online or if it happened during transit why wasn't I notified. He advised it's a used car it's going to have imperfections. Online the listing only showed an imperfection for one of the rims. If this vehicle would have been accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid for shipping cost. This vehicle only has 12,XXX miles and 2 years old. I requested a refund for the shipping cost through corporate due to the way this vehicle is fraudulently shown online. I spoke with salesman at the Fayetteville location they informed me the manager did not see anything wrong with the vehicle. I informed him of all the areas I saw wrong with the vehicle. He stated he would go look and call me back. He returned my call a little later stating those are all signs of normal wear and tear on a used vehicle. They do not show those pictures online because it's normal. I asked him about the scratches. He told me good news he was able to get it off with his fingernails. He wanted me to come back to look at the vehicle. I advised him no way he got the scratches off with his fingernails. I felt of the scratches myself while viewing the vehicle. The scratches did not budge, paint was completely gone, and the metal of the car was showing. He stated he would not be able to refund me but could give me a $199 credit to have another vehicle shipped through Carmax. I explained I wanted a refund and did not want another vehicle shipped here. He refused the refund and stated they don't post all imperfections of cars online. The 360 pictures online are stock photos. They don't have access to take 360 photos. I explained in detail the other photos posted did not show the scratches on the bumper or chipped paint on the vehicle. This was my FIRST experience with Carmax and it will be my LAST. This is complete FRAUD to inaccurately represent a vehicle condition online. I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle here if I would have known the accurate condition. DO NOT SHIP/PURCHASE vehicles from Carmax. They are shady and do dirty business! No way he got those scratches off with his fingernails. I have attached pictures of the online post as well as pictures I took today of the vehicle. You can see for yourself how fraudulently this vehicle was advertised. Carmax should 100% give me a refund for its FALSE advertisement! If I could give them NEGATIVE STARS I would. They do not even deserve a 1 star! UPDATE 4/28/26: Carmax Customer Service REFUSED to refund my money. Will only provide a $199 shipping credit to have another vehicle shipped. They told me today they were able to buff the scratch off of the bumper on the vehicle. However, yesterday I was told they were able to use their fingernails to get the scratch off the bumper. So which one is it? Regardless the vehicle had a scratch, chipped paint, etc that was NOT documented online. Again, if the car was accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARMAX! RUNNN!

    Stay clear of this car dealership, shady business practices. A family friend from another Honduras…read morecame to the U.S for work with her 6 year old daughter and needed a car. They settled on Enterprise Car Sales on Raeford Road and purchased a vehicle and have had it for a week. She was telling me that there was a bad smell in the car and they have to go to school/work with the windows down because it's so bad. I check out the vehicle and I couldn't believe they sold her the vehicle like that. It appears the vehicle was heavily heavily smoked in. She also told me she asked if they cleaned the car and they said they did and the seats were still wet from the "cleaning." Well I used my carpet cleaner and man I couldn't believe what I pulled from the carpet and seats. The water being sucked up looked darker than coffee. It's just unfortunate because it seems she was taken advantage of. Why would you let this car off the lot in this condition? According to their job posting, there is supposed to be a carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning done. I guess just getting the seats wet was good enough. Makes me wonder what else they skimp out on just to get a sale.

They only two options and one of them was a no go because the car was smoked in so it would take longer to get our car. Our experience wasn't the greatest. There was only one person attending clients and answering the phones. Once she competed the phone call she proceeded to help the clients in front of us/ we were already there 20 mins. I was in a time crunch as I had a doctor appointment. We did our check in and reservation completion to speed the process but we ended us leaving an hour after our arrival. Someone came in that was working outside to help us with getting our rental car. His customer service wasn't the greatest either. His attention was on his personal phone.... I returned the car in a day early- and they called me a week later to say everything has been competed and that i would receive my deposit. Will never return back.

    7/28/25-update again: Well I was told it would be 3-4 days, that has now turned into over a week…read morewith no date of completion. The owner Jovan has no clue what is going on so he lies everytime we call for an update. I was told to drop it off because the transmission was in, I was told they finally started working on it last Thursday, now he says that they are having to wait for the transmission and there is logistics involved. He has no clue what lie to give us next. Why they don't just fix my vehicle and give it back is beyond me. Why keep dragging us through the mud for no reason. I paid the high down, I have made every payment on time even though my vehicle is not fixed still at almost 3 months into this. How can this even be real. The worst part is they do this to people knowing they can't do a thing about it. They don't lose anything and could care less because they will just keep getting away with scamming people. It's been over a week and all I want is an accurate update or my vehicle back. Is that too much to ask?!?! Even better when you get a call from the owner that last 2 mins and he answers nothing then hangs up on you because scamming customers is more important. Jovan is even more rude than his staff. The absolute worst dealership and shop! STAY AWAY!!! Update #2: They finally tell me to drop my vehicle off and have now had it for 2 days and have not touched it at all! Their awful excuse is it was too long to get in their shop so they had to clean the other side out. Are you serious?!?! Don't bother trying to talk to anyone because you can't ever talk to anyone just the worthless guy who answers the phone and is rude and can't do anything at all. This company just gets worse and worse. They don't care that your making payments on time while they run you around, or that they are leaving you without a vehicle for over a week when it was supposed to be 3-4 days which is still longer than most shops. Update: It has now been over 2 months since I started the fight with this company. I still do not have my 50k vehicle fixed. Still more excuses, we have to repeatedly call for updates and get nowhere. Don't ask to speak to the owner because it won't ever happen. The warranty they offer is just a cash cow for them they don't actually honor it or do anything with it. I called the warranty company myself and they have no record of my vehicle.....at this point I'm convinced they never planned to fix my vehicle. Transmission was supposed to be in today, here it is end of day no word from anyone and conveniently no one is available to speak to either. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS YOU CAN!!! At first thought we found a diamond in the rough here. Had nice vehicles and even offer a warranty.....the catch is you will get a vehicle with a big mechanical issue then you will spend the next 30 plus days fighting to get it fixed. Fighting just to get communication. You will get the run around. Call the warranty company and after almost a month since I bought the vehicle they say they don't even show an active account for me. Yet I'm told by Vicki that I have an approved repair. Wait 2 weeks for a tacking number that I have to keep calling for updates on just to be told conveniently it was lost in shipping....how do you lose a whole transmission??? That's not counting the radio screen that doesn't work still. So here we are over a month later, a 50k vehicle with nothing but problems and no answers.
