Marc lies & was drinking a few timIes he came to my house. Was supposed to bring a new control panal last year I believe. I never heard from him again. I called & called, went to the shop which was closed. I left a long note on the filthy van parked in front of the shop. No answer. I called the manufacturer & told them I would not let him represent my product if I was them. Now I have to get somebody to look at & see what it's going to cost to get my hot tub running right. Able Pool & Spa suck! If you buy from them you will be sorry. My warranty ran out w/o getting the new control panal I needed. Marc lies, doesn't show up, doesn't answer the phone & smells like booze the few times he was here. I don't want him in my house ever again. I reported him to the manufacturer. DO NOT do business with this place! My pool heater broke back in June, they give my husband and I the run-around every single time we call. It is September andNOBODY has come out to fix it. We are happy that we have a pool here in hot El Paso to ease our minds of not being near a beach. However, I wish there was another installer in the area. The customer service started to be great (wheel us in for sale), to being disrespected (already baited in), to repairing customer relationship (damage control), then back to lack of communication (poor customer service). In September 2020, my wife and I hired Able Pool & Spa to install a fiberglass pool. After giving them the deposit their sales associate told us they ordered the pool. Two months later I called to receive an update on where the pool was, given the fact COVID is going on. I was very respectful and understanding on the timeframe. However, it was at this time we were informed by Latham pools and the ordering department that the pool was never ordered. This is when one of the owners (Nick) reached out to us. He was polite and told us he would get the pool to us asap. Even though he was nice this is when ALL the problems started. His excavation team was out on vacation so they weren't able to come on time. November 20th is when excavation begun. That's when they showed up they excavated the ENTIRE HALF of our yard (for a week), knocked down our Rockwall and left. We were informed they would dig in the shape of the pool so we would know where it was going to be. After this, the pool got delivered December 10th. When it arrived they backfilled it and filled it halfway with water. Mind you this entire time we're going back and forth with Nick regarding the electricity and plumbing. His people NEVER showed up on time and were always calling out. It got to the point where we started calling plumbers ourselves so that our yard could be put back together. Everyone was aware we had dogs and could not be in this process forever. January 18th our deck got started on. When the guy poured the deck I asked about drains, he said we wouldn't need them because the slope, then the plastic expansion joints were crooked so I brought that up and they informed me they would be covered. When the texture people came they were extremely nice but the deck was flooding bc of how poor the concrete was laid. Fast forward, our pool is just getting clean and the cleaning guy decided to NEVER SHOW UP AGAIN (NOT SURPRISED). They tried to replace the expansion joint, and tried to add drains (after the fact) so the texture and paint was ruined it was horrible and extremely rough to walk on. The plastic inside the pool was coming up (sticking out) hazard. There is concrete all inside the pool and it's a mess. Fast forward to today MARCH and we had to pay $400 for a leak person to come out because whoever ABLE had install our skimmer basket did it wrong and our pool was leaking. And because Able pool and spa hired a leak person (who also never showed up) we had to do it ourselves. We also paid over $600 for the deck drains that are now demolished and ruined. We told Nick we will hire someone else for the deck because he wants his people to re-do it. And we just aren't risking it again. Now he is being rude and not coming to finish the job they started on the waterfall, because we don't want to invest thousands into a deck that we can't even enjoy. This has gone way to far and I would not recommend this company AT ALL. TO THIS DAY our pool is still a mess, there is so much dirt and concrete in it, the water is completely drained. We've been promised someone is coming out and nobody has shown up. We may have to look into taking this to court because this is thousands that we've spent and we're getting treated as if we've done something wrong when all we've done was be patient and courteous during this COVID period. We were quoted 4-5 weeks after the drop in of the fiberglass the pool would be complete. And here we are months after and still have nothing to show for it. We had to pay for the drains, rock wall because of course (his people never showed up), and leak detection all out of our own pocket. I have screenshots and photos of everything. Two years later, I don't even live in El Paso or have this pool anymore, but I still remember how bad this place and it's leadership was!

i always buy local and had my last hot tub for 18 years. I made the mistake of buying the new one on the Internet, it seemed like such a great deal. Big mistake! In 18 months the great deal turned into a nightmare. If it had not been for Mark from Able pools fixing the hot tub for me I would be out a lot of money and without a hot tub. worst decision ever to go with this company. They said 8 weeks from start to finish. We started the process at the end of June. Paid our down payment on July 5, 2017. This is January 3, 2018 and it is STILL not a finished project. They told my husband last night that they would be here this morning at 9:30 a.m. to finish up. I locked my dogs up AGAIN. It is after 11:00 and I've yet to see them or hear from them. How long can they drag this out? Please take my advice and go somewhere else if you are looking to put a pool in. Between a terrible lack of communication, not showing up, not being able to plan in advance and just downright awful business skills, this company should be avoided at all costs. I had a big party this 4th of July and my equipment wasn't running properly. Came to the store in a panic and even though the service guys were out working on their scheduled appointments, the owner called one of the service techs and they were able to squeeze me in. glad to have someone who not only built my pool but can work on the equipment when something goes wrong. bonedoc345 read more

simple review! stay away save your money, i really wish there was another reputable fiberglass builder in town that had a good reputation. the owner is extremely rude and will make you pay more even if you are a loyal customer. plus- swim in 3 weeks! lie lie lie 2.5 months later still not completed!! get this did an upgrade got billed $$$$ more for the "change" according to them. bs i will never do business with them again. #customeralwaysright #ablepool read more
