Brought his measuring unicycle and didn't measure a thing. Of the 4-5 landscapers that have come already, I am getting written estimates from all of them. This company either sent someone with no experience, my project is overwhelming, or ?? Very bizarre. To be clear, the other landscapers also offer the design aspect, and they/I plan on doing the design piece. I am just looking for estimates first along with meeting you and feeling your enthusiasm for the project. After meeting and texting with you, and reviewing your photos, my job may have been out of scope for you. I wanted a lot of fun stuff; bocce ball, basketball, inground trampoline, and a lot of ground cover and plants. I will give 4 stars instead of three, as I posted all of my wants in my Yelp request, so my expectation is that you will come ready.

Wow, I can't say enough good about this organization. Owner Junior Santana met with me back in May,…read moreto look at my front yard and have some conversation about where we might want to go with it. This was a yard that had been through the wringer, drought, voles, irrigation breaks. Had pretty much deteriorated to a large weed patch. Large yard, too, probably close to 2500 square feet. I have a nice looking home otherwise, so, it was making me crazy. Junior impressed me right away, very professional and knows his sh*t. I saw no reason to get any other quotes. We talked, he took some pics and measurements, and we shook hands and agreed to work together. I put together some drawings of how I wanted the design, we met again, flushed some things out and agreed on a plan. He provided me a very concise and clear written quote, I signed, and we agreed on a start time a little later in the summer, better for both of us. End of August, they got started, and BAM, they were on it. These guys are awesome, hard working, smart, focused, and absolutely know how to maximize their time. What they accomplished in two weeks is still mindblowing to me. I have mostly worked things by myself, around the house, and this would have taken me a whole summer to get done, maybe longer. Everything came out exactly as planned. It looks soooo great, absolutely exceeded my expectations. I can't stress how much I enjoyed the process of just watching it all come together. Turf, Rock, Stone, Plantings, all of it looks so good. DLH was a pleasure to work with every step. Much thanks to Junior and all of the guys for all of their effort. If there is a next project, there will only be one call I make, to Diamond Landscape Hardscape. Bob Y. Diamond Springs, CA. Sept. 2025

Eh. Small business. Seemed honest. I knew it was a gamble…read morewith only 24 reviews on here. 2025: Got a bid for job 1. Price was so good asked for bid for job 2. Agreed to proceed with one bid at a time. Glad I did that. BTW bids came in far lower than other competitors. Now I know why. I'm not going to bash the experience with detail, but here's something to note: Skeleton crew. The regular down to earth blue collar workers they were had me trusting them but I found myself constantly asking questions as after the contract was signed, communication slowed drastically. I thought more detail would be discussed. Think this particular job was out of their lane and, to me, they left it incomplete/did the bare minimum/ couldn't wait to get outta there. They also were random in their work schedule. Sometimes there for half a day then you wouldn't see em for days. It took at least double the time projected. Thought maybe it could be a fluke as there were some noticeable issues with the business which seemed out of their control, so asked for some updates to job 1 bid. I was assured a bid would be revised/sent, but ironically, I cut the final check for the job completed, then I was ghosted. Tried to give this business benefit of the doubt, but they constantly showed red flags. Hey if you like letting a businesses take full control of your project, its basic and you don't really care about detail, this is a business for you. A lot of the photos show very basic 101 jobs completed on here. Hope everyone learns something from my experience.

I had this company come out last summer. He built a couple of retaining walls and performed that…read morework beautifully. However the landscape portion was terrible. First of many problems: the watering controller he installed did not work properly from the get-go. I told Pete about it and requested a receipt for the controller (it was the end of the job so he wasn't planning to return). Instead he came out and fiddled with the controller and said it works fine. He left and it still didn't water according to the settings so he came out again (after the job was completed) and fiddled some more, saying again there was nothing wrong with the controller. He never gave me a receipt, so as the same problem kept occurring, I finally had to replace it. Because Pete never gave me a receipt (I suspect he used a controller he had sitting around, and not a new one for my job, however he told me it was "professional grade" and cost $300), I couldn't return it and had to spend more money on the new controller. Very irritating. Irrigation system and planting: I asked him to add on to the existing drip irrigation system and bring water to several fruit trees and numerous new shrubs I requested that he put in. However he installed 1 gal. drippers to everything, whether it was a large existing fruit tree or a new small shrub. Fruit trees require a lot more water...Pete told me he was an arborist so he should know the right amount of water fruit trees need. Now I'm having to switch out these drippers myself to something that provides adequate water. Again not something I should have to be doing. I requested all cascading rosemary shrubs in numerous locations. He installed half cascading rosemary and half something else (I don't know the name...he didn't provide any tags). My bad for not saying something at the time, as I thought the additional color might be pretty. Well, the other plants he selected COMPLETELY took over the area covering the slower growing cascading rosemary. Now I have to tear some of those plants out and put them elsewhere, so that I can see the plants I requested in the first place. Some of the new plants he put in began to die after a while so I looked a little closer to figure out why. Half the root system was above ground...the hole was not dug nearly deep enough! I tried to correct this but unfortunately the plants were too far gone so my effort was not in time. Finally, I asked Pete to shore up some fence posts that were lagging. It was a picket fence surrounding a small patch of my front yard. I asked him to go around and check each post. I am too trusting...I assumed he had done that. However, he only shored up 4 fence posts and not the posts on either side of the gate, the ones that needed attention the most. Overall, I am pretty unhappy with the job this company did for me. I read other reviews stating how detail oriented Pete was for them...He did not pay attention to the details of my landscaping project, and I'm not sure he dealt honorably with me about the controller problem. I would not recommend him/his company.

My yard was left incomplete, Shawty work, snarky, and unfriendly Andy. I had to hire another company to complete the job and fix all of the issues that Andy caused. I searched online for a contractors license and couldn't find one that came back to Andy Winn's name. I'm not even sure that he has a license to do the work he is contracted to do. No contractors license to do any kind of masonry or concrete work. For your own sanity look elsewhere. I wanted to leave a zero star review, but was unable to.

We asked for a bid for additional work --- adding a front walk and a side walk in the back and ripping out our entire front yard and about 1/3 of our backyard (to be covered in mulch). Bobcat guy they used -- 5 stars. and that's when it started to fall apart - Not sure if he didn't have a big enough crew for the job, or if they lacked the ability to work more than 3 hours a day without bailing. By the time they wanted to wrap up the job, there were so many unfinished tasks - they rushed and left us with cleaning up after them. 6 weeks after they finished the job (and were paid) we've just spent the 5th weekend in a row clearing mulch, removing yards of weeds and had to have a professional plumber come in to finish the irrigation installation. An altogether disappointing experience.

As I got older, they were a PITA to maintain and THE WEEDS!!! They were a nightmare! So, I saw ads about this company and decided to get an estimate to turn this ugly, weed garden into my dream courtyard (hopefully). They made me a quick appointment that fit my schedule and sent out the coolest, most professional and accommodating, friendly guy, Jim. Jim spent time with us, showing us the product they use and beautiful catalogs on both the paver choices and the sitting wall styles. He listened to my idea of how I wanted the project to look and gave me the perfect courtyard plan that he knew would make me happy. I had already purchased a big arbor I wanted integrated into my courtyard's opening, and he assured me it would be accommodated. He was the best salesman I've ever had come to the house and he gave me a really great quote as well in the cost! The crew who came out met with me on the first day of the project (along with the Project Manager. Mr. Gomez (who is simply amazing!). And they went over what they were going to be doing that day and how long they predicted the project would take to complete. Well, they worked on our project for three days and worked very hard and did everything exactly the way I wanted it and actually installed the arbor to perfection!!! They cleaned up exceptionally well and were so amazing to work with, and I owe it all to them to make my dream come true!! I highly , highly recommend this stellar company to make YOUR yard aspirations and dreams come true!!! I can't say enough great things about these people and the work they do!!! Thank you!! I called and spoke with Randeep, who scheduled me within 2 days with an irrigation specialist. I had an appointment this past Wednesday for Danny to come by and take a look at the leak. Not only did Danny fix the leak, he replaced the valve completely with newer, more up to date parts as my home is 20+ years old. After addressing the original issue, he noticed that two of my sprinklers were not functioning and replaced them, even without me asking! Wow! He then recommended that I replace my sprinkler timer as well, since it was also an older/outdated model. I purchased a new timer, in which he took the time to walk me through step by step to make sure I understood how to use the timer and make necessary adjustments and also made sure to go through the schedule not once, but twice to ensure I was satisfied with the watering schedule and overall water flow. During the walkthrough, I noticed there was a huge leak coming from a drip line in my backyard that caused a puddle in my lawn. He explained that the leak in the drip line may have been caused my running it over with a lawnmower or by me accidentally hitting the line with a weed wacker. I asked Danny how much it would cost for him to fix the leak, and he said, "This is such an easy fix, I'm almost positive you can fix it on your own." He then recommended the parts I needed to fix the leak, and sure enough, I was able to fix it on my own! He made sure to keep in contact with me while I went to Home Depot to make sure I bought the right parts. Danny went above and beyond and provided exceptional service! He was patient, honest, kind, and very knowledgeable, which is a true reflection of the company. Nowadays, it's hard to find a trustworthy company that won't take advantage of you! Thanks again to Randeep and Danny for making this a great experience from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this place for any of your landscaping needs!
