Thankfully, the customer service and quality work they provided us was just as good as their reviews -- and, in our opinion, even better! They listened to our ideas, studied our simple sketch, walked the yard, offered suggestions, measured carefully -- twice -- and gave a detailed estimate. We made a few minor revisions before giving them the go-ahead. They were patient and attentive to the details, transferring thoughts to paper with prices up front. When the time came to begin work, the crew (Uriel and brother, Rolando, along with father, Vincent, and friend of the family, Gerardo), showed up on time and prepared to work -- hard. When met with unexpected events, the crew stayed calm and dedicated to the tasks at hand. When a large and aged, rotting tree collapsed as thick vines were cut away, they brought in a chainsaw and got to work clearing the back quarter of our yard and fence line. The guys built the gates to match the rustic style of the split rail fence and cleaned up nicely. Though the days here hot and conditions were sometimes miserable, the crew remained upbeat and pleasant. It was great having them here and getting to know them. We are totally happy with the finished project.

My mom contacted JD about removing some poison ivy and clean up some yard debris. He came out…read moretalked to my mom and I , we explained in detail what we wanted done. He agreed and contacted us later that day with a price. My mom liked the price and hired him. So the job was going well until they moved a pile of logs the city left of course it had snakes under it and the got swarmed by bees. They uncovered a nest underground bees. One of the workers was stung and had to receive treatment. So they did not finish the job that day. He was paid all he asked for but he has not finished the job. He stated he could get rid of the bees and finish the job. Oh he did he rid of the bee for a $75 fee. He came out and got rid of the bees. He promised he would come out the next day and finish the job. It has been over a week and still no sign of him. I text him on Monday and he promised he would come out the next day. No show. My mom called him today and it went to voicemail and she sent him a text. Still no contact from him. He also left a pile of mulch in the driveway. He took the debris away and got rid of the bees and poison ivy but he has not spread the mulch of the area where he killed the poison ivy.

It was one excuse after another. After threatening to ask for deposit back and go elsewhere, I got the job done. Fence was well done. I don't think the workmanship is the problem. It is the management. Not the best way to run a small business if you want to stay in business.
