It appears that scrap wood was used as well as wood for concrete forms to construct the landing and stairs. No deck screws were used!! He claimed that a new code would not allow screws. The nails are coming up out of the wood, the support beams and just about every piece of wood is split where it was hammered. The angles weren't squared up, just shoddy work.

Called Nathan's Hvac Services, he came to our store, did a diagnosis, and fixed the freezer better than before. While he was at our location, he checked on all of our refrigeration equipment (we have a lot as a grocery store), he made sure all the maintenance was up to date. He found a few things that needed extra attention, like our on-demand water heaters. he fixed them and made them run better then when they were newly installed. He set up an equipment schedule for us. showed us what we could do ourselves, but also offered to maintain them for us. We needed heating and cooling in our storge area. I had gotten bids for a mini-split from other HVAC contractors, and they were all out of our budget. I asked Nathan for a bid, and it was significantly under the other bids, and because he did great work on our other equipment, we had him go ahead and install the heat pump. Boy, are we glad we did. The new mini-split works so great that we are looking forward to our hot Cloverdale summers. I told him that I wanted a way to remotely monitor the temp of our refrigerators and freezers. He did some research and presented a proposal, which was way under what I budgeted. Actual charge to build home was more than $100,000 over contracted price I signed my name on. Mike Rhodes continually harassed and bullied me, and I have the documentation to prove it. I had no choice other than to take Rhodes & Son Construction to court. They lost. I heard Mike Rhodes died in 2024 or 2025, and his son Josh started his own company prior to the death of his father. I was told there was too much illegal drugs and/or alcohol involved. I was also told Josh Rhodes is not paying employees in a timely manner. Does not surprise me at all.
