My strata uses Para Scape and it seems like they just don't care what kind of job they do…read more I'll occasionally see someone walk by with a Para Scape branded jacket on and they never fix the issues we have with dying shrubbery, etc. One person does some kind of inspection and then points out places that have leaves and things on the ground to someone else who has a leaf blower. The person with the leaf blower then wave the leaf blower around for a bit, kicking stuff up into the air. The person with the leaf blower doesn't try to blow detritus anywhere in particular, so it lands around where it was in the first place, except messier, since the forces that kick things off of paths (people walking, etc.) get overriden by the diffusion caused by someone waving a leaf blower around randomly. I've I had jobs I couldn't care less about, so I can sympathize with not caring whether or not you actually do your job, but that doesn't change the fact that, if your strata hires this company, you might end up worse off than if you hadn't hired a landscaping company at all. Based on the stellar reviews and the photos on their website, maybe this company does good work somewhere, but that doesn't mean you'll get that service when your strata hires them.

My family and I decided to revamp our backyard so we hired ParaSpace. Our dream was to transform…read moreour relatively plain grass lawn into a more dynamic environment. While we knew we wanted a patio installed, we needed suggestions about new plants. Their team was excellent at giving us suggestions and recommendations and we ended up getting two new beautiful flower beds with mulch and alternating colours of annuals! They even went through to our front yard and eradicated weeds on our paths and driveway! Even this little improvement made a noticeable impact that we weren't even thinking of at the time. The patio was made from western red cedar which was pressure treated. This looks very natural and our backyard has never looked better! We are pleased with the service ParaSpace has provided and would recommend. I will warn that they were on the higher end of our budget. The results were worth the cost but they may not be the service for you if you want the most affordable option.

John came out to our place to assess the work we needed done. He quoted a fair price and even more…read moreexciting, he offered to do the work in two days! John arrived on time and promptly started working on the crazy, overgrown weeds in the backyard. He also pressure washed the deck, leaving it sparkling clean. We really appreciated his pleasant demeanor and great attitude. I'd highly recommend John. I hope to use his services again soon!

We had John Wynn from Wynning Design & Landscaping provide a quote to clean up our small patio…read more The quote provided by John included; lifting our pavers, removing the weeds and pressure washing the patio. John seemed like a nice guy and provided a decent quote. He quickly took a deposit and said he come and do the job. About 3-4 months, and over 2 dozen emails/calls later, John finally came to do the job. However, he only did a very surface level clean and then sent multiple emails daily asking for his final payment, with an excuse about having to come back to finish the job. Needless to say, several months and many broken promises later, our patio still has weeds and looks about the same at the start of the project. If you ever have the misfortune of having John Wynn quote a project for you, I strongly advise being cautious of the promises made with a smile and find someone else. And, if you do happen to take a chance on him, do not cave into his pressure to pay until you confirm the job has been completed as quoted, otherwise you will never see John Wynn or your money again.

We had contacted around ten landscapers (at the peak season around late Spring) - only half had responded and only three came to take a look and given us quotes. Curb Appeal was one of them. Rick took the time to ask questions and was understanding in my vision of what I wanted to do with the vegetable garden. And he was able to work within my expected budget for the landscape project. Other contractors had only took a quick look and rarely followed up when I had questions. The project had met most of my expectations. When the project had some bumps, Rick was able to address my concerns. My suggestion when undergoing a landscaping project is to expect delays (especially during peak season). Originally, I was quoted for the project to be done within 5-7 days, but ended up being three weeks. But Rick was able to keep communications open to address the delays and reasons behind it. Also, the carpenters contractors that were hired to build the raised garden seemed to have rushed the wood encasing at which some parts were not perfectly aligned. Overall, we were happy with the project and I am making good use to growing our fruits and vegetables.
