There weren't that many steps, but the steps that I did have, they walked me through. My rate was better than all of my friends at the time, so I was very happy. However, the reason I'm writing the review is because of the service my brother got. Basically, when it was his time to buy a house, Northwood worked magic and got around the 9 month probationary period that the TTC imposes. It would have been a huge bummer if we couldn't get my brother a mortgage based on that technicality, but they got it done. I highly recommend Allan.

Extremely high rates but understandable as paying off a debt consolidation but the fees are very…read moreexpensive including a payout to the debt consultant and when paying out the 2nd mortgage 3 months early - huge fees much greater than the 3 month penalty. Then the 2nd mortgage proceeded to deposit the Oct. cheque after the home was sold and the 2nd mortgage paid out!!! Very disappointing and unprofessional - now I must stop payment going forward !

Even a week before closing date I called him and told him if you need more documents or money to deposit to get the approval from the bank I can provide,but he said my mortgage is gonna be ready and he doesn't need more documents or money. The day before closing ,I got message from the bank my mortgage was rejected and he never picked up his phone after that !I lost lots of money because I had to cancel the deal and paid the penalty just because of this guy plus all the stress Was on me because of this situation! bank make the last decision about your mortgage and this company literally can not do anything about that they just handed the documents to the bank ,so don't waste your money and time and go to the bank directly for mortgage.it's not like you go to his office and give them a list of documents and waiting for the mortgage .every couple days he wants new list of documents and money to deposit because bank want it form him , and you have to provide them ,so why u should pay to him for do nothing! It was really unprofessional he even didn't pick up his phone and he did not even called me to tell me my mortgage is rejected and I heard the rejection from the bank ,and he suddenly disappeared. Very unreliable and untrustworthy.
