Hills Excavation - Almost Ready to stamp!!!!

Hills Excavation

I've attached photos of our parking lot after we had Hills Excavation come and do our snow removal…read more Completely filled with ice. They did a poor job at plowing the snow which is what resulted in all of this ice as well as the lack of salt that they put down. Very unhappy with the work that was done.

I had an amazing experience with Hills Excavation, when they installed a yard drainage system in my…read morebackyard. From start to finish, they were incredible! They completed the project in record time, even fitting me in ahead of schedule, which was a huge relief considering spring rains were on their way. The crew was fantastic--professional, friendly, and respectful of my property. They communicated with me every step of the way, answering all my questions quickly and thoroughly, sending me photos of the work to assuage any concerns. It was clear that they take great pride in their work, and they left my yard in perfect condition, cleaning up meticulously after the job was done. One wrench in the project was that I had an invisible fence line that ran through multiple areas of excavation, and I knew there was no chance that line wasn't going to be cut. What really blew me away, was that Cristian went out and repaired the damage and the line works perfectly again; talk about above and beyond! A week later, the drainage system works perfectly, and my yard is shockingly dry considering the recent heavy rain. I highly recommend Hills Excavation for any complicated and muddy yard-related needs--they exceeded my expectations in every way and I'm glad I no longer feel like Shrek telling people to, "get out of my swamp!"

JT Concrete

JT Concrete

My husband and I were looking to have a cement pad for a patio poured in our backyard. We reached…read moreout to local groups on social media for recommendations, since the previous contract company we were with completely ghosted us. Tyler reached out to us personally, and came the same day to survey the area. Long story short, JT Concrete ended up completing our backyard pad, redoing our driveway, and our front porch (after the previous contractor left it damaged and unsafe). Owner Josh Dobman was extremely professional and personable. There was excellent communication between us and JT Concrete throughout all projects, which is not very common in the construction world... I learned this the hard way. Josh was very transparent throughout the projects about extras, materials, etc. Scheduling was never an issue. The guys always came on the days Josh said they were coming. If there was a scheduling issue, Josh made a point to let us know ahead of time. (again, something that isn't typical in the construction world). The number 1 reason I would recommend JT Concrete and/or use them again in the future... OUR PORCH. Our porch was compromised during waterproofing, which was completed by a different contractor, who originally was going to fix it, but never did. JT Concrete was hired by us a 3rd time to complete this project. Part-way through, we noticed an issue with the creation of the new stairs. The treads were too narrow/steep. We were slightly annoyed, since the projects were expensive. I contacted Josh, who arrived later that day to take a look. He agreed that the steps were unsafe and his guys tore them down and created new ones! MIND BLOWN. This company truly stands behind their quality of work. They obviously took a huge pay cut with that project, but there were no issues with having them redone. Additionally, the stairs and porch top are SOLID concrete - not a shell or cemented over like we received in a different quote. The slab on the top of the porch is thick and reinforced with rebar. I have no safety concerns with this porch now that was once crumbling. All projects were completed in a timely manner. If there were any delays, Josh was transparent about why and gave us plenty of notice. Payment was collected after the jobs were complete with a down-payment up front - typical. Would Recommend! 10/10

They…read morehired our trucks to do a job for them, subcontracted us out and we cannot even contact them to demand payment for what they owe us, they will not even answer our calls, texts, or emails. They make it impossible to get a hold of them. Them being, Josh Dopson, Andrew Miller and Michael Riccardi. The township for which the job was completed for informed us that JT Concrete also owes a large sum of money to the company that supplied the concrete. Check their references thoroughly before awarding this farce of a company any contracts and keep the holdback for an extended period for Subs. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
